Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Speaking of Make Lighting Great Again....

Mrs datlas and I had a fun family project yesterday. She hates how her car (2007 Honda Odyssey) and Heidi's car (2001 Maxima) have cloudy headlamps. We got a kit from Pep Boys and reconditioned the headlights so they are nice and clear now. Unsure how long the clarity lasts, but it was kinda cool to see the process.

The Saturn's headlamps are crystal clear. #mustbeUSAbuilt

That’s weird. I can’t comment on the “Team Stages” thread but it’s not locked. Wtf?

The formatting is all funky on the desktop. It makes me wonder if he copy/pasted something that broke the page.

Got up to 85F today. Not bad for October. I'm tired of these shorter days, though.

I am going to take Thursday afternoon off and go bicycle riding. Then I am going to take Friday-Monday off and go sailing. The universe owes me for that god awful summer.

I thought they migrated from the south, global warming influenced.

Oh wait, I forgot, the elected officials said there’s no such thing. My bad.

I just got a new phone. My 6 wouldn't connect to the cell network anymore... so I splurged and picked up a used 6S in OK condition.

Meh, it's ok. took all night to get it updated and backup from the 6 restored to this one, then update all the apps, etc... by that it's one hot brick.

I happen to have a NEW battery laying around for this phone, but the one its got is at 79% life, so maybe I won't change it right away.

Not only was it just about the rainiest season on record, but the fronts stalled and backed over the area reliably on weekends. Of course there was no wind, but we’re used to that.

it is the land of the midnight sun if you have the light and motion urban 900 like DougRNS.

I cut one of my lawns tonight and had a conference call so there was no ride for me.

Tomorrow I ride.

We had more or less a normal amount of rain. I don't know about wind. Over 5 m.p.h. it's generally undesired.
