Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is this pic extra large, or are my settings in need of a looksee?

Likely the quietest day of the year out here on the edge of town. Today is Feast Day(Dia de Fiesta). Tomorrow is 'get in the car and drive home, after partying half of today and all night tonight' day. It took me a few years to realize this and thus to stay off the roads.

I accepted that fact many moons ago. I am certain I had a full blown blast of it, even though my test came back negative. I just don't "not breathe".

Yeah. I've started to feel fatalistic about it, but I'm also heartened by the thought that getting it, but in a mild form, and getting over it, after 3 shots, would probably give you better immunity against the next variant.

It's now become two different pandemics. A pandemic of annoyance for the vaxxed, and a pandemic of continuing illness and death among the unvaxxed.

Well, it was already strained, but I think yesterday he exacerbated it. He will probably be hors de combat for cooking on Christmas. Luckily TYB has started acquiring some skill. He can at least make the stuffing - which is a requirement for Christmas. I learned this when I tried NOT making it one year - I was told I'd ruined Christmas!

Joined up with bam and a small group of locals for a nice little spin this morning. It was nice to be on the road, with proper skinny tires, with a group for the first time in several weeks.

I'm on my phone when at this website and it looks to be twice the size of that bike picture that precedes my post. I hope that helps.

Waffles to go just won't work for me, and due to torrential downpour, I'd guess the outdoor seating restaurants aren't seating outdoors today. Maybe some other time. I just did up a taters-peppers-onions-sirene scramble with some toast.

Or are you talking about waffle makers? Maybe if I start weighing the options now, I'll get one in a week or two

Rainy day here as well, so heading out to try local wines. Might as well drink the day away.

A few years ago I shot a 356 for a contest. The thing was a beaut. I’ll have to post it when I get home.
