This is what T-MAR said about these in another post:
"Those bicycles are Nishiki International LD, with the LD standing for Large Diameter (tubing). The tubes are joined to internal lugs using both internal brazing and external heliarc welding for extra strength. They may have been manufactured in 1985 but they were introduced for the 1986 model year. The Intrenational LD was also marketed in the USA. They are not unique to the European market, though there may have been some minor variation in some of the components."

That color scheme is very similar to my first drop-bar bike, a Montgomery-Ward 10-speed from the late 70s.

interesting Bianchi, I had no idea they ever used Reynolds 631 tubing for any frames, but had not followed the trends in 2001, apparently the seat tube and down tube in this set are butted and also "air hardened". Was a very attractive price and I say "was" cause this one was SOLD

assuming most parts are Zeus or their suppliers, it's worth 'way MORE than $50, plus the hubs appear to be early "steel barrel" Phil Woods!

Wondering what this one is. Has the Smokey chrome finish of the Vent Noir. Not an Ultima or Superleicht with the eyelet. That’s a fantastic price though. Stronglight crank/BB, RD makes it worth that easily.
