Doubt you will find many Starbuck's type people in that part of PA. Bring plenty of water with you. Lancaster County can be really hot and steamy this time of year, and corn provides no shade. The Lancaster Bike Club has their club century in August. A couple thousand people. One reason I stopped doing it was the heat and humidity.
Will you be riding through Mt. Gretna? Neat little place with some cool houses. Many of the streets are named after universities. The historic Jigger Shop is a must-see.

Flickr works fine, Heathpack. Just need to use the "share" option, then BBB code, copy/paste.

So for those of you posting pics, how are you doing it?
Photobucket remains broken I assume?
Every time I try the attachment feature, I get an error message, so no dice there.
Does Trsnrtr use Flickr? How does that work?
, your wheel thread confused me, I didn't read the whole thing. Do you buy all those Treks just to have them for display, not to ride them? But you ride some other bike?

They are ubiquitous in location. Starbucks is often the easiest coffee to get to. And the app. Is hugely successful. Order your drink before you get there and in theory it will be ready & paid for when you arrive.
Starbucks makes the worst coffee in town often with the worst experience- slow service, they get your order wrong, crowded, messy environment. But still I find myself there. All cycling routes in town pass a Starbucks but to get to Peet's or (our local SoCal roasting chain) Bodhi Leaf, someone building the route has to care enough about coffee quality for you to wind up there.

A few miles southeast of Strasburg is Nickel Mines. The school house where the murders took place was razed and replaced by a new one in a nearby location. It's called The New Hope School. It's set back from Mine Rd. just south of White Oak Rd.

If you go through Strasburg, there is good ice cream there. It's also home to the PA railroad museum and a tourist steam train operation, which is neat to watch, but, I think, a relatively short ride. When in the countryside, keep you eyes peeled for sickeningly cute Amish children. They often sit still and quietly on porches. Some day I am going to find the secret factory where they are made.
