Wasn't supposed to be lower than 51ºF this AM and so I planned to do 30 or 40 miles. At 0430 it was 47º but I was still determined. My legs were like lead and I had to bail at 24 miles as my hands and feet were getting much too cold(found out it had dipped to 44º). I had to do my ride at this time as I have a ton of errands to do today and the early AM is the only time to fit it in. I am so annoyed. Enough already! Warm the H*** up! I have another century coming up.

So, 24 miles this AM.

OMG! First ride after about a 3 month lay-off! Have gained about 15 lbs and gotten out of condition. Paid a heavy price. Back to discipline and schedule!

Okay, postponed one errand to tomorrow and finished two other errands quicker than I thought. I managed to get in another 25 mile ride this afternoon--would've liked to have made it 35, but still had things to do today. I'm just glad I was able to fit in another ride.

Nice sunny day, clear blue sky, about 70 degrees.. light winds... in other words, perfect. Had time for 13.8 miles today. Hope to ride again tomorrow, then it will be a another week of cardiac rehab. Two more weeks of that and I am DONE and I can replace the rehab with a ride.

Today we did 52.1 miles on the tandem, Hamilton, MA to Newburyport and back. The ride was great. So was lunch.

I got in a good random 71 mile ride, belated training for the TDC in two weeks. I made sure to include plenty of hills, a little slow but that doesn't concern me as much as the 7200 feet coming up in the century.

100 miles, 9.8K of climbing. Ugh. See separate post "Ruffled by Ridges" if you're bored.

Very nice after breakfast, chit-chat ride with my riding buddy. Perfect weather, with little winds, made the 43 mile ride very enjoyable.

Got rained out of a club ride this morning - guessing hardier souls showed up and rode but too wet for us.
Instead, later on when things were drier rode 9 tandem miles.

35 fixie miles, including a fair dose of rolling hills, but that's like over 50 roadie miles due to the fixed gear 50% mileage bonus. ; - )

15 miles yesterday, hauled some camping gear out to my woods. Got things set up and spent the night. Woke to light rain that lasted till 1:30PM. Rode 17 miles home, will take another load out when the weather permits.

Did the Wildflower 100 K on the tandem. One tough climb, but otherwise a pretty easy ride. Temperatures never got too high and wind was moderate.

First hot and sweaty ride of the year. 80° S Wind 21 Gusts 28 mph. Well at least it felt hot and sweaty.

20 miles after work on the usual bike paths.
