I might be able to make $20/hr. If they were steel. (Unlikely). No crabon paste or torque wrenching. And if they used cartridge bbs.

We have an older ultrasonic humidifier in our bedroom. The seal/gasket between the reservoir and the base somehow deteriorated and disintegrated. A google search for the part was fruitless.
I decided to hack a new gasket using an old inner tube. It worked!

This quarantine thing has me so out of sorts that I'm back on BF browsing the Addiction thread. Scary times.
One perk of #newdadlife is that I've been using Zwift almost exclusively for the last 6-7 months other than a weekend outdoor quickie anyway, and have gradually become decent at some of the racing. My real life bike buddies, who are objectively much better racers in real life, are now getting roasted in Zwift because they haven't figured out the nuances to drafting/pack dynamics etc. Silver lining.

I stimulated the economy. Messing with coupons I got both these for $120 shipped with tax. I'm pleased about that v. $40 ramps. I did have some fear of getting smushed by the ramps. Jack weighs 70lbs and I don't have go inside and get COVID.

I borrowed a floor jack and installed the RCI skid on the Tundra. I could fit under without jacking the truck up and used the floor jack to position the skid.
It got so claustrophobic I had to stop a lot. I almost threw up a couple times. Not doing that again.

Aero routing is much fussier.
Also friction downtube vs indexed dt/brifters.
I feel confident that I could put together a standard* road bike in an hour though.
*Mechanical shifters, cable caliper brakes, external cable routing. Add 30 minutes for cantilever brakes.

"Build a bicycle" means different things to different people.
It's relatively easy/quick to "build a bicycle" the way they come from the factory in a box (or from bikesdirect.com), compared to building up a bare frame and groupset. Running the cables alone is going to take a big chunk of time.

Went for a ride and saw quite a few small groups pretending to keep distance between riders and some just riding as usual. It is manifestly impossible to maintain a sanitary distance behind a rider and remain in conversation.
