It was completely unexpected. I really thought I would be doing training in Clt, so when the email came I was shocked. If I had known this was going to happen I would have just stayed on the 73 and swapped bases. I was made to wait a year because I was switching air frames, the whole situation is dumb.
Lily is going through something right now, and is having a hard time being alone with the kids. I was gone for 7 days last week and she broke down twice, so I have no idea how this is supposed to work.
My parents are useless and cause more problems. They do not help at all when they come over and really cause my wife more work. They say they want to help but then don’t lift a finger or offer to do anything when they come over.
Her parents work like dogs and are completely unavailable. The one friend who could actually help her and would help her, her husband is getting deployed for a year to Tokyo in May, so she’s not really in a position to help.

Because nothing eases people's minds about the future of a company better than a good old fashioned fire sale!

The thought of traveling alone with 2 kids causes Lily to freak out. Simon is just too difficult for her. He’s not even difficult. He acts exactly as I expect him too, but it’s so different from Amelia, and that’s the problem. Amelia was easy and chill. Where ever you put her she stayed and was always happy. Simon is go go go go go go go. Even if they did come out, I’ll be in class and they will be stuck in a hotel room. Not really ideal.

Me too. If it’s help she needs, maybe hire a local teenager as a mother’s helper for a few hours after school?
If it’s emotional support, that’s tougher.
I am guessing it’s a bit of both.
