Seems more likely that the reader was wrong than that you had such a high heart rate, considering you survived to tell the tale... But like holiday76 said, probably best to get a check up!

I am supposed to wait on any hard exercise until I see the DR on Wednesday but I kinda fudged a little today. To my credit, I did go real easy. Most of the time.

Rode the Snoqualmie valley trail from my house to Duvall and back. ~ 60 miles, it felt gooood

Reader is likely correct; I normally see it the 230's for max. I knew I felt like crap today. it was only for 12 seconds, and rapidly dropped, and get this, 13 mph. One of these days, maybe....., not like I'm unaware of it.

Thunder Ridge will be interesting.

Thanks Brent, I am feeling better already!
Today, my wife needed some peace and quiet to do some bills so she told me to get lost for a few hours.

Happy to oblige by riding out on the Middle Fork Road.

I turn around at the Middle Fork River trailhead. Now it’s mostly downhill all the way back into town.

I stopped at Georges Bakery for some coffee and a cookie before riding home. Bills paid, wife is happy, all is good.

The Virginia countryside continues to impress. Leaves are finally coming out, and quickly. In another couple of weeks, this road will be completely shaded:

Very COOL that they dedicate a secure area to lock employees bikes up indoors. May I ask what type of business?

Caught up with "Car 553" at the Glencoe Station. Last private railcar operating in the United States. Recently painted in the old Chicago and Northwestern colors which I remember from BITD.

The Superior seems to work really well for early season rides and windy days thanks to its 48t ring.

(I wonder, how fast was that guy going who plastered his bike that high up the wall?)

Good morning! I did 38.9 miles this morning on the Silver Arrow. Took off at 8:13am and got back at 11:05, with a couple of scenic stops along the St. John's River, which I followed for nearly five miles on the rather new trail from Cutler Park (south of Ivanhoe) into Visalia. A nice little jaunt through the countryside!
