I'm sure that is an error. Funny though.

That redwood 5.0 is sweet. Would someone more educated than me note the differences from 2020, colors aside?

2020: 11spd, 42T chainring
2021: 12spd, 40T chainring
Different crankset on each, really its the 11 vs 12spd - this is at least what I can tell are the differences.
Don't know if the specs are accurate about the chainring since they're not coming from Specialized, then again Specialized list 32/42/52 chainring for the Sirrus X 4.0

Looks like 2021 models for Sirrus X 4.0 and Sirrus X 5.0 are out. The are not on specialized website but I see them on Landry's Bicycles (checked the site after I saw a post on ****** specialized sub******) "https://www.landrys.com/product-list/bikes-1000/hybrid-comfort-1230/?rb_ct=1250&rb_br=349&rb_iy=2021&sort=pricedesc" available for pre-order. Extra gear on both the models, new colors and $ 50 price bump on X 4.0 and $ 100 price increase on X 5.0.

I actually like matte paint a lot. I owned 2 motorcycles with matte paint and never had an issue. Clean it with windex and a microfiber cloth. Harley Davidson actually sells “denim” paint cleaner and it works well too, but windex works great. Trust me, I’m super OCD as well, but it holds up just fine.

LOL! No, carbon wheels are for race bikes. I’d like a nice set of DT Swiss wheels with the ratchet hubs, but the stock wheels are fine and they look good.

There is always the street version of the Sirrus (non-X). The drive is 2x.

I found one in LBS but they would only let me test ride in the store so that was lame in itself. I have to be able to test on the street and bang thru the gears. I must admit I love that future shock, helps a lot with this nagging sports injury in my shoulder. How are them Conti's? The silver flake color is really nice!

The Conti’s were a good change.
in order not to be left behind in our private arms race, my wife wanted hers changed out as well. We both changed from the 32s to 28s. First ride on hers, and she even commented that the bike seemed “lighter” acting and more responsive. And, she’s not one to focus on little details. I just can’t have better than hers. 😜
I like the silver color a lot, but also really like a lot of the current blues that are out there. My wife has the lilac 4.0. It’s a nice “chick” color because it doesn’t scream out “girl’s bike.”
Sirrus 6.0 has Future Shock.
Your LBS must be pretty lame. All the stores here will let you ride before buying, even if just around the parking areas (which are pretty large around most of the stores here).

In September 2017, we were supposed to go sailing in the BVI, but Hurricane Irma forced us to switch gears at the last moment. Ended up going to San Fransisco instead. We saw a lot of cars from So. California heavily covered in ash as people fled north to escape the fires that year. Was just crazy. Also got to enjoy 100 degrees in San Fran. Much different than 100 hear. Can’t imagine what it’s like this year as there seems to be much more destruction. Stay safe there!
It’s been really hard to find bikes here all summer. Pretty hit or miss. I ended up going to rural Oklahoma to get mine, although we found my wife’s locally.

The drive to Oklahoma was about 3 hours. Wife and I just made a day of it, and checked out an area we had never seen before. Even got to see the highest mountain in Oklahoma, something I didn’t know existed in that state. Not a bad day trip.
I’m 6’ and on a large. My wife is 5’6 and has a medium. If she were an inch shorter, the bike would be too big for her. That may help, but doesn’t hurt to check them out.
Sorry you had to endure Amarillo. 100 here is not too bad. SF at 100 is far worse I found out due to lack of A/C.

Could you have gone with the S-Works Carbon Mini Rise Handlebars? If so, why did you choose the ones you did? And what would be the benefits of one vs the other?

In a non-Covid world, could you order a bike with some mods from the factory? For example, transparent sidewall Pathfinder Pro, carbon post, etc.? Is that doable now?
