Looks like we're going back on code red, for at least two weeks. There is no recreational riding, or anything else during code red, especially for senior citizens. How is it so difficult to act responsibly? Put the phone down when driving, etc.
My phone doesn't recognize the word 'difficult'.
I wonder if that means our crew won't be allowed to work. Likely.

Can the flakes just be popped in to a jar of store bought pickles or do they need to be introduced when pickling?
Side note: do you and the Mrs make any hot sauces? If I have a lot of Thai peppers and I can't think of what to do with them, I was thinkin' that I might see if I could make some sauce, but I've never looked in to the process.

Mrs. LAJ makes powder, and it's a sought after Christmas gift. One for soup, with a tiny kick, and on for salsa, with more of a kick. You add the ingredients you want, as far as tomatillo's, onions, tomato, cilantro, etc.. Use her powder to season to taste. The soup was a big hit, becuase it could be used on anything.
She doesn't grow many super-hots anymore, simply because you can only eat so much, and her proficiency in growing stuff far outpaced the ability to consume. She has plenty.... First batch of Shi****o's hit today. Stupid censor. I'll just say it in advance.

Absolutely. Take a few out, put about a 1/4 teaspoon of flakes in (Vlasic or Dave's big jar), shake it up, let it sit for a day. It does get warmer as it sit, of course.

When I did that ride I made sure to stop at all the rest stops while other excitable types would pass by some of them in search of glory, or something.
I told a friend on a ride the next day " I ate 8 times yesterday". She gave me a high five.

Rhubarb doesn't need additional fruits to be a spectacular dessert filling. The top-tier expression of rhubarb dessert is a crisp, though, not a pie.

They're building a block wall between our property and the next one over. It was a forest until recently. Now it is a wasteland awaiting construction.

Strawberry-rhubarb ruins both the strawberry and the rhubarb. It blunts the lively rhubarb flavor and mushes the strawberry texture. I wouldn't say it's bad per se, but it's bland and mildly unsettling, a miserable shadow of what rhubarb is capable of.

I’m looking forward to it. They just started this season this past week, asked me if I wanted to play. I would have declined even without the medical issues, I mean we’re talking about a league of high-risk 60, 70 and 80 year olds. Why take the risk, wait until next year. I wish them well.

I guess that makes me an outlier, although I do like raspberries.

Looking at another house today. It’s booked for showings all day so I assume it’s going to be tough to get, but fingers crossed!
