A special tool is needed to attach the spider to the cranks, but I'd be surprised if it came without already being installed. I bought mine as separate line items and didn't add the assembly fee, but they still put it together for me. You shouldn't need more than a set of Allen wrenches for the chainrings and left arm.

Yeah, same as when I ordered. I never asked - just rolled the dice and they took care of it. I'd be surprised if they didn't take care of you. In subsequent emails, I inquired about chainrings and was offered the bundle discount price on them, etc.

Apparently Rotor is no longer using that lock ring, so no special tools.

The house is incredible, nicer inside than I even expected. The husband, wife and I talked for about 40 minutes about the house and come to an agreement on sale price verbally. My agent is getting them the contract this morning and all we have left after that are attorney approvals and we should be closed by mid-August.
Oh I’ve had mine at 5:50-ish this morning and it was a beautiful moment.
i must be getting notorious at work though, even my boss steps out of the way when he sees me walking with an empty cup in my hand.

Just got the rest of the week off, right on time to catch a flight home. ![happy b-day](images/smilies/bday.gif)
Fun fact, first flight this morning it was 37 degree in the cockpit. It cooled off to a nice 30 degrees by the time we touched down. This is celsius.

Pulled the trigger with 5-bolt 110, the ALDHU crank upgrade, and 3-day shipping. Woohoo!

You asked about when I felt the Varia was a necessity - the PM is too. Even if I’m not doing a “workout” I do want to track things like load and how I did with pacing and so on. Riding without one would be like riding without a Garmin.

Negative. We didn’t get to the plane til after 10 am. It was already 90 degrees outside, and the plane was closed up with no airflow. Usually an ac cart will be hooked up, but they didn’t have one, and on the ground the ac packs fed by the engines just arnt as strong enough, and the cabin gets priority. Some planes work better than others. This was one of the others.

Speaking of nerds, my entire professional life is devoted to measuring human physiological and behavioral responses to things, so the chance of my not taking this step was essentially zero.

I'm the one who spent his last birthday investigating whether there was a relation between the proto-Indo-European word for "dog" and the Chinese one. That was because I had been digging through PIE word roots and noticed the similarity, and wound up reading a paper about the etymology of "dog" and the evolved nature of dog-related origin myths between West and East. That was how I got freaky on my birthday while AG was overseas for work (seems like an age ago, but was really nine months exactly). But I'm sure y'all are nerdy too.
