I like it a lot, although UPS managed to ding it in shipping so that getting the front wheel in and out was a pain. On the bright side, the shipper did a claim with UPS for me, and sent me a new fork for the bike. Now I have a new, uncut fork, which will soon go on the Cervelo I have, and the old one will prob be used for my beater when I manage to build one up.

You totally need the pinup alter cover plate.

Merckx

I just picked this up yesterday from a friend. I'm pretty sure I'm going to mess with this a lot, it rides so nice I feel it deserves the best.

Nice bike, btw.
I like the way it corners a lot better, and the dampening is definitely noticeable. Skidding for the first time on it threw me off (figuratively ) but I've adjusted well.

I finally got around to taking some pics of my SS build yesterday, so I thought I'd post a couple of Before/After shots. It's nothing special, an 83 Japanese-made Bianchi, but the ride is very nice. As a bonus, I removed the fenders just in time for the rain and slush we've had for the last week and a half.

Here's my SS commuter, it's a great ride in the city. Yeah, I know... I tightened up the chain after I saw the pic.

Where did you or your friend get those toe clip straps from? I'm looking for some green ones to match my wheels and grips.

1978 3Rensho 'Track Modulo' -- top of the line frame from that year. Verified built by Yamaguchi in the first year of 3Rensho's existence. Head badge shows original name of 3Rensho, Cherubim Cycles. Cinelli fastback stays and chromed fork crown, Nikko cast bottom bracket, Tange long-point lugs. An impressively cool bit of 3Rensho history. Hope everyone enjoys.
