Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? That Carlton is awesome. I may end up with some sweepy bars on my Redline frame If I can decide what the hell to do about the rear hub situation that is currently driving me nuts.

yes
.
The present Cherubim is run by Yono's son.

He kept the name going, his uncle is working there also.

Thanks - it's still very much a work in progress, but aren't they all?

Got some other pics, but no good ones. He needs to go outside and play, but it's damn cold and icy out. Definitely beater bike weather. We can't all be 128.

My cheap ass GT avalanche 2.0 fixie conversion

Took me many a respace and redish to get this right, still not perfect

My disc hub fixie wheel.

I know this isn't nearly as hot as the Keirin frames and other nice fixies, but I love it.

It's an Aquila, made of 6/4 Titanium (frame, and forks). It has a Campy Record internal headset, Giant carbon stem, 3T 6061 trackbar, Dura-Ace low-flange hubs and cog , Dura-Ace cranks, XTR BB, Litespeed Titanium seatpost, Brookes Team Pro saddle, 858 pedals, Aerohead Pro wheels, Michelin Axial Pro tires.
It weighs 16.5lbs. I could have made it a lot lighter, but that wasn't my goal. I don't race any more. The idea was to build a bike that would be supple over the bumps and cracks of Toronto roads, and yet stiff enough that I wouldn't lose too much precious energy.
This bike works.

Cherubim (the well known builder) is run by Yoshi Konno's brother, Hiroshi Konno. In '78 Yoshi Konno decided to start his own shop, Cherubim Cycles, to sell bicycles made by Cherubim. Hiroshi was never able to produce bicycles for the shop, so Yoshi Konno and Yamaguchi started building Cyclone bicycles under the Cherubim name. After a while, the name changed to Cyclone as a whole -- which was copyrighted by Suntour, so they soon had to change again.... to 3Rensho.

whoa now! you gotta leave a little something to the imagination. A bb or headset at least.
having nude frames, closeups on bb shells, tight brake bridge action... a little tasteless ya know? Take it over to the roadie forum.

Moki, keep those wheels as they are! They are badass. Save them for the track, if you have a track nearby, and build something else up for the streets.

That thing is just a re-badged Cinelli...but I LOVE IT!

Yeah I was just going to ask how they handle on the street. Anyone else ride 24 hole hubs on the street? What if we're talking 24h Phils with bladed spokes?
