Anything "high-end" that is eligible to ride in an Eroica commands a premium these days. Columbus SLX and Dura Ace are pretty high end for the period. All it needs is new brake levers.
Who is unrealistic? Me or the owner posting this eBay listing 1986 Schwinn Paramount Dura Ace | eBay
I say $150 max even if it is a Schwinn Paramount built at Waterford.
But he is not alone on eBay. I've seen the same "professional" listers re-listing the same paramount frames over and over and never getting a bid. Don't they realize all the bike collectors have filled their collection? So the one-time sellers coming to eBay look through the listings and think they have something.
I guess you can't blame them for trying.
p.s. The serial number makes it an April 1990 model, not '86....correct**********

Don't know if this counts as vintage, but it certainly qualifies as wacky:
https://stlouis.craigslist.org/bik/d...255532484.html
4 seater bicycle. Asking $100 obo. Must pick up and need gone ASAP.
If I had a garage (which clearly the current owner does not) I'd snag this in a heartbeat. It's exactly the kind of unexpected, quirky thing I really enjoy. Hauling capacity is 700lbs according to the mfr catalog!

$100 is probably a pretty good deal for it, although it looks quite rusty. It looks like the back seats need pedals added. No Freeloaders
Our local Eugene Sunday Streets celebration is now doing a non-motorized parade. So, that would fit right in.
Would Bike Flights ship it? Or would I have to pedal it across the country?

Go get it! Listing says "OBO" and "need gone ASAP". Maybe they'll give it to you for free.
For free, you can mod it into a pedal-powered chariot for your wife.
EDIT: better than to let another silly person get their hands on it and leave it to rust outside some more.

Is that for a little extra stopping power?
700c Hybrid with 26" wheels and low-profile tires?

Well, you certainly can't go wrong on the price.

Free Ladies Fixie Frame (Chester)
Free Ladies Bike frame. Made by Rixe in Germany. Has horizontal rear facing dropouts so has fixie potential. 21" seat tube, and will need a 40mm Thompson or Thun bottom bracket. These are easy to find on eBay. Originally set up with 28" wheels and fenders and has clearance for big tires. Pick up either in Chester or at the DuPont Spruance contractors parking lot. This is only a frame, but there is a picture of a similar complete bike at:https://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g7...ps40y0v1rt.jpg
e-mail is the best way to reach me.

I'm pretty sure the "similar" bike in the photo is the SAME bike before disassembly. Which begs the question of what happened to all the other parts. In particular, the FORK?
I'm not big into wall art, but this might be a possibility.

I think this one could use a little help with the presentation:
Classic Murray Older Bicycle - $50 (Eugene)
Based on the very terse description, and looking at the photos, I would conclude that the bike may well be in better condition than one might guess with the first glance at the photos.

Interesting. It looks OLD... pre WWII era, perhaps pre WWI era. So, I'd think it would be worth picking up.

I don't have enough posts yet to add images or a link. Just remove the space:
https ://syracuse.craigslist.org/bik/d/one-of-kind-art-bicycle/6208562088.html
Ad reads:
Tabular Revolution: A one-of-a-kind art bicycle
Do you like bread? Do you like bikes? Then this is the bread-tab bike for you.
This one-of-a-kind bicycle was created by Toronto artist Stephen Wheatley.
Featuring hundreds of bread tabs, big and small, the bike invokes the themes of reUSE and reCYCLING.
The bike is rideable, but not exactly road-worthy due to limited braking power.

That big tab mounted just forward of the handlebars is a safety feature. It is intended to snag some part of your anatomy to prevent you from being launched when one of the big tabs on the front wheel jams between spokes and forks.

I don't get it -- are you supposed to stand on it backwards and pedal with your hands and steer with your butt?
