Maybe that’s the difference between a spaghetti noodle (No. 5 thickness) and a Schweinshaxe for a quadriceps? 🤷🏻♂️

It’s 10:30pm in Brussels, and I skipped dinner for a short fuse tasker at work…and now I am so hungry, and this is not helping.
Let’s stay focused Larry and his ridiculous claims of 180RPM, and cubit’s non-sequitur intervention about short cranks.
Man, I’m so hungry…

I am a great admirer of your nation's sprouts. I am also a short crank.

Maybe someone could set up a Go Fund, buy tickets so Larry, Moisty and The Other could meetup in person and compare cranks, cadence and bike fit.

Yeah, they look pretty sus. But, to be honest, I don't use aero bars, they're for triguys, TT bikes, and I guess bikepackers who think they need to be aero with 50# of gear strapped to their bikes, and of course blokes who don't understand the rules, particularly #54. Generally, they have no place on a road bike.

I'd worry that the untrimmed end of that zip tie would stab me in the throat when I got into aero position.

Here's the saddest part about this setup for me. If I put a rack and basket like that one on of my bikes, it wouldn't cause any drag. My wide body/big a$$ would be keeping it all in the draft!

Glad to see that this thread stayed on-topic, healthy cadences were shared with the OP for their riding goals, and that there was no further name calling.
Maybe we'll get some data on aero benefits, hockey sweaters vs fishnet jerseys (you asked for it, seypat) vs liberally applied sunblock, in the future

the panda guy in the beginning of this vid is holding atleast 130+ rpm. Being able to spin at very high cadences is a useful tool to have in have in the chest. If its the latter part of the group ride and everyone's legs are dead, sprinting at a high cadence can tax your cardio system when your legs are just too weak to sprint normally.

You are riding and enjoying your ride... That's what counts...

The things people do to draw attention to themselves.
On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we got stuck behind this crew coming back from the inlaws. They use quad ATVs as blockers to hold up traffic. After they got over the 95 bridge and onto the 195 Expressway, 5-0 showed up with lights flashing. It got really dangerous then, as the cops were blocking the off ramps. The bikers were trying to exit, then back down the grassy hills into the oncoming traffic. Cars were swerving barely avoiding big pileups. They put themselves in a bad position because the toll exchange was coming up. No exits and concrete barrier walls on each side of the road. We found an opening and got around them before the toll plaza. The parts with the cops involved are obviously edited out to make it look safe. What a bunch of idiots! 2nd time I've been witness to this culture in the RVA since September.

You seem to really be into this subculture of cycling.
Maybe I have grown caution with age? Almost all of the video seems incredibly irresponsible and unsafe. The one exception is the hipster riding down a dirt hill.
As always though, you will do you for sure.
