Not a road sign, but...
I rode past this car last week on the way to work. Decided not to stop and take a picture. Regretted it later. Luckily, the car was in the same spot on my next ride in.

This is the Way.
It was stopping to take this photo that I lowsided on the greasy wet MUP and broke my thumb. Back in November. Guess I only just now got over it

It's not on my commute, but it's a road sign. It describes Arcata perfectly.

I don't really see a conflict there. "Bike Friendly" just means the city has marked a bunch of bike routes, regardless of their suitability for cyclists. Truck routes are fairly common markings to try to keep through trucks from cutting through residential areas and streets, such as those a bicyclist might want to ride. Notice, too, the 3' shoulder that's sufficient for a bike route/lane on a road with trucks (though it's about as narrow a shoulder as I'd want to ride in that situation).

I agree, and I think that bike lane looks a good bit wider than 3'. It looks fully as wide as the silver car, which appears to be a full-size SUV

pdlamb, it was meant to be humorous, as trucks and bikes are generally incompatible, but the City pretends that they are.

Wondering if some of you already saw this sign pop-up somewhere?

No picture because I'm off work for the holiday, but whoever installed the signs for a new traffic circle by me had no idea which way goes up (or didn't care). The sign is still 99% effective in any orientation, but to my eye it seems unworkmanlike to install two in close proximity with the arrows not lined up. Is there a right way?

Now for something completely different…
I’m sure some one will argue that it is the wrong thread… but it is Christmas season so let’s enjoy a little. 😉
