Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kinda sad to put my rear trainer wheel back on just now. Much less pretty than the Rail.

Upside is, the disc cover goes on the rear Rail tonight. Will give it a test ride at the tri geek group ride on Thursday. Then it can sit ready until Labor Day.

Whoa, why not give us a call when you post?

I have a pay phone lead I still need to follow up on. Also a mural if I ever get my photography action going.

BTW, the payphone in Cazenovia costs 50 cents for local calls.

Are you going to stop for a photo during your metric century ride?

We won't be riding by the pay phone during next week's 100 miler. Besides, I already have a photo.

I'm not usually on a strict schedule, when I'm out riding.

Hang on, I'm not sure I'm following. You're saying there's such a thing as a ride that's not a pure hammerfest?
