But I won't, because it isn't even relevant to the discussion about improving Women's racing.
I don't know what did it here, but 10 years ago, that women's field above would have been about 5 riders. Austin Flyers team had a lot to with it, I think. Just a handful of elite women starting a team and mentoring/nurturing new racers, just a couple per year. I coached a couple weekly rides for them back in 2004 & 2005. The whole community now seems to be populated by mentors. It's like a pyramid scheme of awesomeness.
Ladies' night at the Driveway doesn't hurt either. The get their own course for racing and clinics all night, and can still head down to race co-ed on another course. Hell, just the existence of the Driveway track and Holland Racing to run it are huge factors in the health of this sport in Austin.
The facebook comments note that the woman on the right, back down the hill, did four races last night. Great opportunity there.
