Ramjm, how tall are you and whats your inseam? I'm wanting a Lynskey and I fall right at the M to M/L frame size. I'm 5"8" with 30-31" inseam (depends on the pants).

Wow. I personally would run different wheels (gotta be tubeless for me) but otherwise I don't think I would have done a single thing different, gorgeous! Makes my R230 blush...

Keep the thread alive!
Mine with just a couple of updated components. I love this bike. She just glides down the road, up and down hills, and very smooth even on rough pavement.

Same reason there's so many CF bikes with sloping TT's. With a sloping TT, you can fit more riders with set stock geometries, save a slight amount of weight, and allow for a marginally stiffer frame.... or so they say. This way manufacturers can branch out to a larger group (i.e. 'the masses') since custom geometry jacks the price up to only those that can afford to replace it. Market to the masses and you increase revenue exponentially. I bought a stock Ti frame when Lynskey came out with their houseblend to avoid the extra charge (like $2K more) for custom and it's been a great frame for the past 4 years.

First of all, you have a beautiful bike. An inspiration for my current build. I am currently building up my Helix OS.
I currently have the titanium Lynskey zero setback seatback seatpost (31.6mm diameter and 300mm length).
However, after my bikefitting session, the bikefitter recommended a 25mm seatback seatpost. So, I decided to look for a 25mm setback seatpost in the event that my bike feels too cramped.
To confirm what I will need, I looked at the Lynskey website for the Helix OS and found out that the Helix OS would need a 27.2mm diameter seatpost! I noticed that you are using TC Ti 31.6mm diameter seatpost.
Am I missing something?
What seatpost diameter should I use?
With Regards,
Mark
Btw, does the finish of the TC Ti seatpost match the bright-brushed Ti finish of your Helix? Also, I am assuming you are using the Vittoria Open Pave EVO 24mm clincher tires - any clearance issues?

Lynskey Helix OS seatpost diameter
I just got an email reply back from Don Erwin, Lynskey's Sale Manager. He generally answers all emails personally and is one of the spearheads of the exemplary Lynskey customer service.
Apparently my Helix OS was one of the last Helix OS's to be fabricated that still require a 31.6mm seatpost. All future Helix OS's and most other Lynskey's will require a 27.2mm seatpost, except for the Pro26 MTB.
Anyway, thanks for your help and I promise I will post a pic of the completed bike after I have gathered all the components and built the bike.
Frame: Helix OS Bright-brushed finish, Etched logos and name.
Fork: Enve 1.0
Handlebar: Enve Compact 44cm with black Fizik tape
Headset: Chris King Inset red
Stem: Enve 100mm
Seatpost: Lynskey Titanium / Enve 25mm setback 31.6mm diameter
Saddle: Fizik Aliante carbon braided rails black
Shifter/Brake: SRAM Red 2011 / SRAM Red Ergo 2012
BB: SRAM PF30 Enduro ceramic bearings
Crankset: Cannondale Hollowgram SISL 170mm 34/50
Front Derailleur: SRAM Red Steel Cage FD 2011 / SRAM Red Yaw FD 2012
Rear Derailleur: SRAM Red Silver RD 2011 / SRAM Red RD 2012
Cassette: Shimano DuraAce 12/25
Pedals: Speedplay Zero Stainless black
Brakes: Black eeBrakes / SRAM Red Aerolink Brakes 2012
Wheels: Custom HED C2 rims, Sapim CX-Ray, White Industries H2/H3 black hubs with ceramic bearings, 28 spokes double-cross front and 32 spokes triple-cross back, red nipples, USE titanium spinstix
Tires: Continental GP4000s 23mm tires / Vittoria Open Pave EVO CG 24mm
I have everything in hand except the Enve seatpost. The items behind the slashes are optional and are coming soon.
And, I will keep the 31.6mm seatpost even if I can not use it for my Helix OS - as Don Erwin joked, I might just have to get the Pro26 MTB so I can use the seatpost.
With Regards,
Mark
