Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Where I lived a few years ago there were cats. And during certain periods a mockingbird hung around and would dive bomb them and screech. Sitting downstairs, I could often tell when a cat was coming around the house merely by the sound of the mockingbird.

Anyway, I just saw a friendly neighborhood crow in the neighbor's yard, pecking at whatever crows peck for, and he got dive bombed repeatedly by a mockingbird. wut

At the tail end of my ride, I saw a crow on the other end of the stick - it was harassing a red-tailed that looked to be just passing through.

...but at least we don't have Australian magpies.

Just think of them as little orange cat turds. Then you won't want to eat them, and possibly anything else depending on how your stomach is. So, you're welcome.

After seeing that NBC Gold Cycling is opening their content up to non-paid subscribers, I dashed off an email and asked if there would be a rebate to us that have paid for missed live content that we will probably never see since much of it has been cancelled or postponed into the next subscription cycle.

The reply was essentially, “No, Sucker.”

I turned off my auto-renew.

cheddar popcorn is dangerous. On first appearance calorie wise doesn’t seem so bad, but four bags later....

Dang! Now I want pop corn. Of course there’s no popping corn left in the house.

I like‘em with a mist of olive oil and lots of dashes of cayenne.

Using a Bluetooth meter, starting at the fuse, monitoring voltage until failure. We got lucky and picked the right end of the circuit to start from, after the usual troubleshooting failed to find the root cause.

Voltage drop, voltage drop, voltage drop. Nice find.

The same goes for Taco Bell, though they actually have some decent stuff nutrition-wise. But who wants that ****? Give me the food-like substance they call tacos.

Taco John's has potato olés - they're little spiced tater tots - and they make a burrito or two with those inside (along with the regular meat, beans, cheese, etc). Those are my ****ty "Mexican" "food" (yeah, both need to be put in quotes independently) guilty pleasure.
