One goal I have next year is to lap a Cat 3 field in a crit, inspired by your 2-lapper this summer.

I don't see that being much of a problem at all, a quick WRI to get out of sight and away from the oh so awesome CAT5 bridge attempts, then settle in at ~370-400w for 5-10 minutes and ta-da.

Hmmm. That makes sense, as everyone else is just working on 2nd place I guess. I'm not in any danger of being in that situation. Now, supporting somebody in that situation...

I have that Greg Lemond poster ^^^ of him winning '89 World's.
Funny thing is I begged Lemond Cycles back in the 90's to make a poster of that shot.
Wonder if it was my pleading that inspired someone to make a decision.
Of course they turned it cheesy, by adding the word INTENSITY to the bottom, but it is one of the shots that always inspired us to race.

They decided to put the holeshot award at the pile of dirt. It was stipulated that you had to go over the pile, not around it, to get the money.

I went over it, quite fast, and flew through the air, you're seeing sideways-landing time.

But I won the holeshot! ie $10 and a light.

Not being familiar with cross, I'm not clear on the terminology... what is a holeshot?

Holeshot (in any racing event, pretty much) is the guy who gets off the line fastest, in order to have the best approach to the first turn, etc. as the race begins.

So that was right after the start of the race? That's pretty damn funny. Hope you're feeling better though.

Good to know. That's what I figured it might be.
