I get it though - I’m in a region where we get frequent snow and temps well below freezing. I’m in shorts until about 60F, and overheating at 90.

My brother and SIL live in Hawaii. When they come to visit us in NorCal, at what we consider 'shirtsleeve' temps, they're wearing sweaters to stay warm.

I bonked today bad. Squats are fine as long as I stayed in zone 2, but I met up with some guys and we pushed it. After I broke off I went to do another 20 miles in zone 2 and blew up. Also cycling all geared up feels like i’m pedaling through water. Maybe it’s the combination of cold air and all gear up. Anyways I was putting around at 116 watts trying to get home and my heart rate was chilling at the 150 bpm. If I went any slower I would have been going back wards.

My wife and I attended a tandem gathering in Florida years ago and the starting temp was 55° or so. My wife and I opted for 3/4 tights, arm warmers, and a vest. The dozen or so locals went full polar with balaclavas, down coats, polar gloves, etc. People kept asking us if we wanted to borrow clothes.

Yeah, Celebrex is a reasonable NSAID drug but you are not supposed to take it if sulfa allergic.
That said, if your sulfa allergy was VERY mild (like a small localized rash) you could consider trying it, cautiously.

Of course MC riding is totally different with regard to heat generated from exercise and cooling generated from apparent wind speeds.

I get rashes on my trunk, same with a lot of antibiotics like cephalexin. I’m also allergic to Norco. My mother had a lot of the same allergic reactions to these drugs. I blame her.

I'm comfortable up to about 95 or a little more. I've found 92 to be the sweet spot. It has not always been thus. I spent the bulk of my life in Ohio, and enjoyed the cold during that time. I didn't ride in the winter though.

We had a good ride without much wind. Got to about 70 degrees at the end. Stopped for a slice of pizza with about 12 miles to go. I had bbq chicken with red onions and cilantro. Kinda hard to get going again after that. Thankfully not a lot of climbing on the ride.

I think Facebook knows too much about me. I just got an ad for "Corewear", which us essentially Spanx for Men - what we'd have referred to snarkily as a girdle. Has FB seen me naked?

I took Norco for a kidney stone, some years back. The first day, I felt pretty good. The next morning I woke up feeling really hungover, so I stopped taking it. Took most of a week to get back to my usual reqularity.

I prescribe pain meds like that, but thankfully don’t take them. Best to avoid whenever possible, but after major surgery or other painful conditions, they are a necessary evil.

Last time I took a pain pill was 20 years ago, after surgery on my wrist. I think it was Vicodin. My recollection is it did not reduce my pain, but made me so dopey I just didn’t care about it. Did not like the experience at all.

Just saw that missed face mask on GMFB... yeah it's bad, but no more egregious than bad calls that happen a couple of times a weekend.

I have had a few situations requiring opiates and found them effective and not unpleasant except for the constipation. On the prescribing side, I never bothered to take out a DEA number so no one can even ask me.

So you can’t even prescribe pregabalin? Sad!

I had Vicodin after shoulder surgery in 1988. Initially it helped with the pain but seemed less effective after a couple days. I stopped taking it within a week, it's better if I don't start another addiction.
When I had Shingles in my eye they prescribed Gabapentin and Percocet, I think. I took the Gab twice and it knocked me out, even halving the dose the second time. Mrs John couldn't wake me and considered calling 911.
I never tried the Percocet, gave the whole bottle to a friend who was recovering from hip surgery. It's better if I avoid anything that might be habit forming.
A friend gave me some THC pills and that was the best relief from the Shingles.
