Relax. For better or worse, you're not going to convince this bunch of much at all. I've tried, and they don't get it.

Ok guys, let's draw the curtain on the Covid conversation. We were able to vent some strong feelings about some important topics of our times, and I'm happy to see that we didn't go overboard with it (at least so far as I've seen, I haven't read it all). But the rest of the open forums can't discuss this topic and so we can't continue to discuss it on this level either. The politics in particular is forbidden, we clear on that LarrySellerz?
Congrats to all for keeping it civil and avoiding personal attacks! If I get fired we'll all know why.

Well, THAT was exhausting! I just rode Stage 1 of Tour de Zwift. They had 3 rides available, 14, 17, and 30 miles. I'd signed up for the 17, but on a whim I switched to the 30. Starting at 7 PM. I guess I'll find out later tonight whether THAT was a mistake!
I found a group to ride with, about 8 riders, and oddly, 5 of them were on Tron bikes. I was keeping up with the group pretty well, but then shortly after the start of the second lap, it was like "Revenge Of The Tron Bikes" and they just took off on one climb, and even more so on the following descent.. I tried bridging, but they jut kept getting farther and farther away. I was all by myself for a while, but then I allowed two of the original 8 who HADN'T taken off to catch me, and rode with them the rest of the way. I managed a half-assed sprint at the end which put me in 70th out of 138, which is not bad. Pretty much median.
Then I had to collapse over the bars and breathe for a few minutes. I'm hoping this handles the jonesing I was mentioning earlier.

Closer inspection of the 7410 crankset I just received leaves me feeling even better about it. The rings aren't bad at all - the small ring is MUCH better than the one I took off the Ritchey back in 2019 - after 22 years - and the big ring looks about the same as the as the Ritchey takeoff. But I have another set on the way, that looked even better, and were pretty cheap.

In other news, this may be difficult to believe, but I've been getting the run-around from the witch doctor's office. DougRNS
