Arnold was probably out of Olympia training by time of that picture and not on a cycle (punfully intended).

I was racing in 1980. Eric Heiden had just won all those medals and he starts showing up at all the bike races in the midwest. Girls were screaming when they saw him. It was really something. After one race I saw him putting his bike in the trunk of his car - a beater 70ish Buick sedan.

During the games they told the story of Eric's personal life that included his cycling in the offseason. Quite a set of quads that young man had.
