Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just got this last week, my first bike since my old one was stolen 2 years ago. 2002 Trek 5200, it's a bit older, but my first venture into carbon frames
(yes it's actually sideways hanging on my wall)

Stuck at home with strep today, so I'll post some pics of my road bike:

2011 Traitor Ruben, I put everything together last year save the fork installation. I let the pros handle that. Fork, handlebars, and levers installed this Winter. The frame and most of the parts were picked up at LBSes.

Anyone else run a 2.1" tire?

Thanks, and yes it is BB86. I'm just using Shimano's BB86 BB and a standard Rotor 3D crank (which is Shimano compatible), fits just fine without any fuss. No adapters, nothing fancy.

Congrats on the new bike. You will most likely find that removing the fork extension will make it behave a little better and get you out of the wind some and removing the kickstand is a good idea as it's one less thing to get caught your leg caught on while riding. This is just a personal thing but I would also take a spray can to the front fork, that bike would look good with a black fork.

Enjoy the ride.
