Have you tried contacting excel to see if they can order you one? Even if you didn’t buy there they are pretty good.

This happened this morning. Thank god it was the ritchey and not the others, or I would still be trying to get the tire off.
Saw that I hit something, but the tire didn’t go flat. Kept going for another three miles, and then pulled over to check it. Saw the staple but the tire still was holding air so I decided to ride all the way to the start of the group ride, and change it there. Of course I ride about .25 of a mile and my tire instantly goes flat.

I took the Paramount today, because the Trek is in the stand for a few adjustments. That bike is light! And stiff. And built for speed. I knocked 3.5 minutes off my best time, over 22 miles of bad chip seal. In that regard, the Trek is a much more comfortable ride, if slower, with its 32mm tires and more relaxed frame. And speed isn't what I'm after(he tells himself), but rather endorphins. I get those with either bike.

Went for a ride a few days ago and my bike with latex tubes had a flat. Put a tube in that I had in my pocket. That went flat about 4 miles from home. It had been patched already, but failed at the valve stem. Two brand new tubes in my seat pack BOTH had holes in the creases. Made the call of shame. At home I went through all my bikes seat packs and found at least a dozen bad tubes. I guess I don't get enough flats.

I'm kidding, I get enough flats. A few weeks ago I made a U turn in a driveway. At maybe 2 miles and hour a sharp rock cut the sidewall of a brand new GP4000. Put a boot in and rode home and threw the tire away. Also, summer here is goathead country.

Everytime I take the cervelo out I am convinced I will get a flat. The tires have way too many miles on them, yet they hang on.

So cervelo customer service is a little depressing. I understand that I have probably the lowest end road bike they have ever sold, but still. Response time is slow, and when they do respond it’s like talking to a robot.
After 4 days of going back and forth it has been determined that I have to take my bike to an authorized dealer. Fantastic. Except. I do not have an authorized dealer in my area. All I am asking for is the hanger assembly. I’ll pay for the hanger, just send me the assembly. I’ll even pay for the assembly, I don’t care, but there is no way for me to order that part. So now I have to drive over an hour out of my way to have someone say yup, your hanger isn’t supposed to move, and then order the part through this “dealer”.
Does anybody want to buy a gently abused 56 cervelo with shimano 105, brand new crankset, chain, cassette?

I have only one seat bag, and only two active bikes. I move the whole seat post to whichever I'm riding that day.

We tightened it down and it still moves as soon as you put the axle through and start to tighten it. I remember one time when was working on the wheel, when I pulled the wheel off the hanger almost fell off.

I guess there is an advantage to having only one bag - the spare tube doesn't age more than about 6 months before its needed! Partly compensates for the 3 minutes it takes to swap it every time I change bikes.

Okay. Have you removed and inspected it yourself? I mean, it's essentially a nut and bolt, so there's only so much that can go wrong. On mine, there's a hex shape at the base of the hanger threading - that slips in to a corresponding hex indentation on the inside of the stays and keeps the hanger from rotating. If both of those things are fine and the threads are fine, there's something else going on and it's not going to be solved by a new hanger.

You should take a look at it. It's really not complicated or scary - it only takes one wrench to remove the outside cone and you don't need to mess with the RD at all. Just note - or, better yet, take a pic of - the position of the hanger before remove it. Inspect both pieces of the hanger and the machining of the stays.

I open the skewer or what ever it’s called and the hanger immediately snapped forward.

How does it look? How's the machining at the stays? Do you have the quick release TAs? If so, and you end up needing/wanting to replace the hanger, you might as well replace the hanger and TA with a Robert Axle Project - they're bundled together.
