If it matters it is a 1985 660s, not 660. This model -- the 660S -- is not listed in most of the Trek catalogs from this year, so it was likely a late-year addition. It has a special color and better componentry. I imagine the frame was the same as the 660 aside from color, but am not certain. This catalog has it (toward the bottom), and lists it as 531CS tubing: https://www.vintage-trek.com/Trek-Fis...d/1985trek.pdf .

The frame appears to have been issued as a five speed, since there is only the right side braze on for shifter. I am not keeping it but thought I would offer it to anyone interested, before the scrap yard gets it.
Some of those shifter mounts had one side on the strap and the other brazed on. Not sure about the logic, maybe they just did mid/low-end frames all the same and some were 5s and some were 10s? So it’s possible it was a 10s.

Those fork ends can be cut off, the ends can be carefully cut and they make cool bottle openers. Just sayin’

3rd pic shows bike built and much better representation of actual color - there are numerous marks on paint
Not really interested in shipping, but available for pick-up in Los Angeles

Yesh it is! Look closely at all of the lugs in the earlier picture. The rear are cast one piece, the seat tube and stays are one piece cast, and the BB is also one piece. By that production run all of the Treks used the one piece cast lugs. Smiles, MH

Research online: Use search terms including descriptive frame characteristics such as shape, material, and any unique features. Try looking for photos of similar vintage MTB frames and compare them to your frame to see if there are any similarities or matches.

53 cm Schwinn Peleton 853 main tubes

Long ago this was as my primary ride and I have yet to disassemble it but would like to trade the frame and fork. I love French bicycles and usually ride a 58-50 CM frame. Happy to ship and may consider including the CK headset in a trade.

In my early twenties I had different ideas of fit and setup though I think the seat angle is from switching parts.

Frame measures 53cm from BB center to top of top tube. The Carbon fork was removed from a 99 Kona Kapu. Happy to answer questions send more info or talk about bikes.

Some touch up on right seat stay.

Dusty fron years of storage.

Can you verify that size range?

fwiw - have a Motobecane Grand Touring with a 57 cm seat tube (pictures a couple pages back). The frame is in nice shape, but it's 2-3 steps down the food chain from what you're offering.

51 x 54 cm 1993 Bianchi Eros for the right fork?

1993 Bianchi Eros frameset, about 51cm c-c seat tube, about 54cm c-c top tube, built in Taiwan, full chro-mo Tange double-butted tubing, 126 OLD rear, complete with a notchy nasty headset. Takes a 27.0 mm seat post, which I will include. Much too small for me, but maybe not for you or someone you know.

EDIT: Found a fork - whaddaya got in the way of a 58 cm c-c frameset (always a sucker for an aficionado of French stuff), could be interested in a 21-22 inch rigid mtb frameset with butted tubing, or maybe you'll surprise me with something I wasn't expecting at all!

Free Schwinn Tourer frame

I think this is a Le Tour 11.8? 1980-ish. Seat tube is 52cm CtC.

Nice frame but way too small for me. Chrome Tange fork, Canti studs, nifty wraparound seat stays, bosses for 3 water bottles, includes seat post and Suntour shifters if you want them. Most of the paint is stripped and no dents.

I have shippers fatigue so come get it for free. I may be persuaded to deliver in the Portland, OR area.

I suppose I could drive on over and take if off your hands, even it is way too small for me as well. All things point to this being a 1984/1985 Voyageur SP (I have one in my size "enough"). What is the seatpost diameter of yours? 26.6 or 27.2mm? My '85 is 27.2mm.

I have a 25" C-T Peugeot (PRN-10?) frameset. It does not have a Reynolds decal on the downtube but there is a shadow where it would have been. The fork is clearly NOT Reynolds. Dropouts and forkends are simplex. It appears to be from the late 70's and the serial niumber is on the BB, not that serial numbers are helpful. There are two holes in the seat tube where a water bottle would go. Though they are quite expertly drilled, they are not functional. I am 5-10 and this is a big boy frame. Has a steel seat post. Love to see it go to someone who can appreciate it. No charge, pick up in Sacramento, CA

I have an 88 520, 25 inch frame. I have most of the original parts not pictured. Looking to trade for a 90 55cm Bridgestone MB3, non lugged Ritchey tubing or a 61ish tig welded chromoly road frame.
But shoot me a PM, we can work out details on what you might have.

For Trade - Frames or Bikes from 17.5" to 20.25"

I would trade for similar or older MTN bikes/frames in 21"-23"
I would also consider trades for road bikes/frames 58cm-60cm

I am in Los Angeles hoping for local-ish trade
happy to provide more photos or details if anyone is interested
open to creative trades - starting the conversation

'86? '87? Bianchi Grizzly - 17.5" center of crank to top of seat clamp

1992 Bridgestone MB-2 - 49 cm size 19.5" center to top

1994 Bridgestone MB-3 - 49 cm size or 19.5" center to top

'86 or '87 Peugeot Canyon Express size is 20" or 20.25" center to top

This 19.75" Raleigh frame is also still available in trade for 6 beverages or the random bike part of your choice

That 1994 MB 3 is a pretty color. Too bad the Grizzly not fitting. Looks in great shape.

Good condition Trek 1100 aluminum road frame. Non-original steel fork, threadless headset. Top tube 55cm center to center, seat tube 57cm center to top. Located in Amherst, MA.

Would trade for medium-ish vintage MTB frame, ideally something with 1 1/8” steerer. Ok with something sans fork. Can take more pics if interested.

howdy - a couple of 1in threaded offerings - but not for an exchange. I need to get rid of bikes.
a Miele - it was about to be orphaned in a dumpster, and I picked it up from a "friend". I've done no work to it. Next year if it doesn't get donated before next summer. https://www.bikeforums.net/g/album/30555250

My son is riding my Bianchi. This one would be a cost more than just shipping - not that it's worth it. I've given it a crap rattle can paint job. I'm sure that helps on selling points..... :|
.... it won't clear more than a 26x2in tire. I also need to make sure he doesn't want to make it a keeper - it's a nice lugged, double butted frame. At the time it was the low end Bianchi.

With vintage prices the way the are, I have doubts it's worth shipping Detroit. But if interested, let me know.

a Miele - it was about to be orphaned in a dumpster, and I picked it up from a "friend".

I like that Miele. Are those 26”, or 24” wheel in the back?
