I believe that Trek is a 728, the designation before they changed from centerpulls to cantis and changed the number to 720.

Yep, the 7400 makes it a no brainer, but for clarity, I'm sticking with my original description. Take a look at some of the other pictures, looks better from 10 feet. I had a red one, with the same cancer, that I just sold. Not the end of the world by any means, but I wouldn't call it nice and clean, not an easy fix.

CARRERA official ASICS racing team SIMEONI vintage italian alluminum frameset (almost bought this one but the unfinished welds on the bottom bracket and lack of branding regarding tubing made it a no)
Carrera Roll Italian Road Bike Frameset - Aluminium - Pantographed (F 182) (passed on this one because the welds finish was ugly)
Battaglin Italian road bike frame vintage alloy (it is a battaglin dedacciai sc 6110a frame, but the rust inside the head tube and not so smooth finished welds made it a no for me)
