Looks like we are both going to be hit by weather. I'll take the cold over a hurricane tho... best of luck.

21.0 miles (33.8k), feeling a little worn out today. Wore a long sleeved jersey and full finger gloves, not quite enough. It's not quite long pants cold but getting close. Time for a lined jersey. They just finished painting the lines on the re-paved section of the bike path—smoooooth.

I got back an hour or 2 ago from the Maine Lighthouse Ride. 25 miles, and went past 7 lighthouses in S. Maine.
Nice day, cool, about 55 at 8:30 AM this morning.
It was hillier than I expected being right along the coast (but I realize that's relative).
A great ride and workout for me, and my longest ride yet.
Lots of good food at the end also....

I do see a road bike in my future, and I'm starting to look now for 2017 leftovers.

I just finished a 91 minute mid-day ride on a gorgeous but windy late summer day. That rare easterly wind was playing havoc on my sinuses, hence the launch of many snot rockets.

27 titanium miles this afternoon. Early September but feels like a sunny warm Fall day. Breezy here, too, with some wind out of the east.

15 miles Saturday evening, first ride since Wednesday. Intended to take it easy but pushed harder after a warm up. Felt kinda puny and achy all week but better after the ride.

Yesterday AM managed to get out by 7:00 for a 40 mile ride, figuring with the impending weather it'll be a while before I'm on the bike. It was dry, but constant 15+ mph headwinds on the return. It's pouring on and off this AM as Irma slowly makes its way into the FL peninsula.

I went on a 125 minute adventure around town this morning. Sunday mornings are usually the most enjoyable because of the lack of traffic except for the intermittent church crowd. I explored a new neighborhood, and revisited an older one. Because of the multitude of speed bumps, I was quickly reminded why I rarely ride that neighborhood anymore.

24.0 miles (38.6k). Base layer (thin t-shirt), lined jersey, full fingered gloves, cycling shorts, just right for 90% of the ride. A little warm at the end. In my closet more than half of my clothing is bicycle related (summer/winter). Sheesh!
That freshly paved stretch of bike path is .6 miles long (@ $100k) and it is sweet.

Might have taken the last "real" ride on my Raleigh comfort hybrid today, considering my Domane SL5 is supposed to arrive Wednesday...

Rode 36 too-good-to-be-true miles today. Mid 60s, mostly sunny, positively spectacular fall VT/NH day.

And to top it off I bested my "home stretch hill" 2.2 mile segment by 1:16. And my fastest "normal, rolling VT terrain" ride to boot. Feel ready for the new bike, but it remains to be seen if I can pedal it up the steeper sections of the home stretch.

52 tandem miles today on a club ride. Pretty flat - only got down to the little ring on a couple of short, steepish hills.

Got 63.2 miles in today. Beautiful weather 59 degrees out overcast for part of the ride but a little breezy. 17.9 amph. Headwind didn't help and it was all on the last 15 miles back home. Legs were spent.

22 miles Sunday evening. Intended to ride another metric century this weekend but a pesky sinus infection and headaches keep bogging me down. Still, felt better partway through the ride after getting warmed up. Maybe I should have ignored the discomfort and started earlier in the morning.

26.1 miles (42.0k). I ended up leading the Kiwanis Coffee Riders group today (not by choice). 4 people, 3 bikes, one of them a foldable Bike Friday tandem. A lot slower than I normally like to ride but what can you do? The second half of the ride was just two of us, much faster. The guy on the Trek Dual Sport had no trouble keeping up with me (18mph) but then he's 20 years younger than me too. A little cool but a good riding day.

Another bike commuting day - nice tailwind on much of the ride home. 19 miles total.
Expecting rain parts of the next couple of days. Irma-related, but not like what we've been watching on TV/internet (most of us) or in person (too many folks).

17 Miles. wasn't going to ride today, but my daughter called and asked if I wanted to go for a ride with her. Her Finance just bought her a bike, she's a runner and biking is a natural progression for runners. So it was the first ride I've been on with her since she was 5 or 6. Had to show her how the brifters worked. Had a great time.

13.5 miles on a beautiful day on streets and MUP. My last 4 or 5 fit changes have been positive and my 2017 Kona Sutra is starting to feel great. I've been flirting with over-training due to yard work and a poor diet and it is good to start feeling strong again. I'm working on improving the diet and loving riding every day (retired).

20.8 miles (33.5k). Cut the ride short because the rear derailleur is out-of-whack and I haven't yet figured out how to adjust the older electric derailleur (UI2). Weather can't make up its mind. Cold one day, hot the next.

Best ride in twenty-five years!

Decided to bite the bullet and hit the open roads down and around, then over to the MUP. Sat and relaxed awhile, then started for home. Saw a friend coming the other way and joined him for more. I am a spinner and my friend is a power house animal. Same cadence always - sneaky fast. Quite a good workout for me to keep up, but I did. We kept deciding to go further to explore new areas and I eventually ended up with an estimated 38 miles (Google maps). I'm quite happy with the way I feel. A very good ride.

Bike fit was great and I love the Sutra.

Out with a friend...

Poured with rain the whole time we were out. Howling winds....

Only did 10 miles as we only had an hour free....but what a blast! Brilliant.

Round and about the back roads where I live....lots of uphills and downhills.

Got home, tired, wet, cold....but felt great!

First post Irma ride here in Alachua Co. We're still without power, and forget trying to purchase gasoline or ice. We were lucky here in but as I made my way south there's a lot more devastation. The bike lanes are a complete mess with downed power lines and trees everywhere. It'll be a while before things are normal, but I'm sure we fared better than most. Anyway, we're alive, it's a gorgeous afternoon (funny how a bad storm always clears the air) and I managed 43 miles, so life is good. Supposed to join the Rappahannock Rough Ride in VA on Sat, but I won't leave my wife alone under these conditions.

10 miles this evening. I have two very similar recumbent bikes. Basically same model but one with steel frame (commuter bike) and the other with ti frame (fun bike). Amazing but not amazing how much more fun the ti bike is - frame a lot lighter, wheels, tires are lighter, too and not burdened with the 5 pounds of stuff I carry to work. Ten pounds+ weight difference.

18 miles Tuesday evening, my fastest time on this familiar roller coaster rural route. Lovely evening, a bit overcast, perhaps the outer fringes of what's left of Hurricane Irma.
