Decent price on a Cannondale tourer:

Cannondale T1000 Touring Bike

Cannondale T1000 Touring Bike - $495 (South Chesterfield)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Cannondale
model name / number: T1000

I have a beautiful T1000 Cannondale Touring bike for sale in excellent condition. It has a Brooks copper rivet saddle and saddle cover. Also I have front and rear touring panniers that are not pictured but go with the bike so little is needed to pack up and go. I am 5'11 tall and feel a little cramped but like to sit up a little more now and in all likelihood will not be touring. The Blue Ridge Parkway was my favorite ride.

Charming Motobecane -

Budget townie project

Terrific style crank, 3 speed Huret derailleur, cantilever's, 650b, bell, interesting head lug work going on, fork crown....
https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/4986112825.html
French Art Deco: Wild 60's Motobecane Touring Bike Resto Project - $150 (State Fair Park) < >

Attention French bike aficionados: This is a bike almost never seen in the United States.

Why? Motobecanes weren't imported into the US until the bike boom started around 1970. Before then, any 'Tobecs in the US had to be shipped in privately. As such, while you might see a 'Tobec like this quite commonly in Europe today, a 60's Moto is a rarity here.

As far as I can tell, this is a 60's Motobecane ladies touring bike. The name "Chretien" on the chainguard is French for "Christian." Since this name is also repeated on the rear fender decal, it's assumed that this bike came from the Chretien bike shop in the town of Angers, France.

Lugged frame with beautiful fork crown "M" cutouts. Also includes the original rear porteur rack.

3-speed Huret drivetrain with rear derailleur and downtube shifter. This is not the internal 3-speed hub setup we tended to see in the states around this time.

Solida cottered crank with beautiful double wing cutouts. When was the last time you saw a crank like this?

Cantilever brakes for plenty of 60's stopping power.

650b Presta wheelset! Yes, the same size that's making a surge today was used 50 years ago by the French.

Original saddle and bell as far as I can tell.

When I received the bike, a pair of white tires was literally melted onto both rims, the result of sitting in the bed of a pickup truck for several hot days from the previous owner. Took a couple hours, but I very carefully removed as much material as I could without damaging the rims. Then I took a couple modern 650b tires and Presta tubes and mounted them to make it rideable. Still needs work but you've got a good head start.

Could make a fantastic, one-of-a-kind resto project. First $150 cash gets.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Hopefully that Specialized comes with a key to the lock. I'm always nervous about buying bikes from people who can't bother to take the bike off the pile of junk or, in this case, take time to unlock it before taking pics.

Or...they are selling the frame/fork...but only provide pictures of the bike in full built up mode...

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Serotta
model name / number: Colorado

'93 Serotta - Colorado Steel frame w/ steel fork in great shape. Has Campy brifters, 8 speed chorus rear derailleur, mirage front, brakes, 8 speed rear cassette, 165 crank arms. 51.5cm ctr to ctr, with a 54.5 top tube, c-c. Handle bars are ~ 44 cm, and mounted on a mountain bike stem. Has good Hutchinson tires, crank is 50/39. Wheels: Campy hubs, Mavic Open Pro rims. This bike tracks well and corners great. Need to move it to clear out space, pronto!

Take a look:

I love this bike, but have a few too many, including a Serotta Ti frame, which is my go-to bike.

Schwinn Paramount Series 5 bike!!!- 55cm
[h=2]Schwinn Paramount Series 5 bike!!!- 55cm - $300[/h]

\

make / manufacturer: Schwinn Paramount
model name / number: Series 5

'92 Schwinn Paramount Series 5!! Great road bike for racing or pleasure. White frame with purple splatter. Seat has a cover in the picture, actual seat is black, can take or leave the cover. I believe it's a 55cm frame.

It's in great condition except for some of the logo decals, which you could remove if you wanted to. I bought this a couple years ago and loved it, but as is life, I haven't biked as much as I thought I would and now I could use the money as I am going back to school.

Here's a quote I found about the bike:
"Today I've come to own a piece of American history: a '92 Schwinn-Paramount Precision Cycle (white with purple slime). The leading custom racing bike of its time, it represents the advancement of the art and science of bicycle design and craftsmanship, and the beginning of globalization as a product of the partnership between bankrupt American bicycle-dominator Schwinn, and Japanese technology-powerhouse Panasonic. Only 580 Paramounts were ever made.... These are the highest quality, under-the-radar bikes for those in the know. "
Sunset Stories: A piece of American history: '92 Schwinn Paramount

Why bother with the brifters? I see a perfectly good pair of Suntour barcons.
