Another 18 miles round trip commuting today. I swear my panniers must weight 10-15 pounds with work stuff, pump, repair gear, etc...............Really slow me down............finally got around to weighing them: 8 pounds. Not much more than a five pound bag of sugar.

I got out on the TT bike today for a 18 mile ride. Yesterday I was seen out on my Look road bike in wilds of Fort Ord working on climbs. I did 38 miles in that exercise. My usual ride is an 18 mile out and back, and I do that at least three times a week, with a longer group ride on the weekend.

October 22, 2010 &#.jpg(click pic)Downtown L. A. with Santa Monica in the sunshine.

Did 22 miles into and out of the mountains. First 2/3's of the ride was nice in cloudy conditions, but the top third of the climb got wet, foggy, and cold. But the bottom part made the first ride in over a week well worth the effort. Weather here is Southern California has been more like Seattle for the last week. Was nice to finally get a ride in.

We've had an incredible run of good weather here in Minnneapolis. Sunny and warm for something like 4 weeks straight, with only a trace of rain.A front is moving in and is going to wreck my weekend riding, so I took advantage of possibly the last really nice day of the year. It got up to 69°F today - for late October in Minnesota, that's unbelievable. There was a group ride starting at 4:30 and I managed to make it on time, along with maybe 30 others who knew that this could be the last one. The ride was short - 23 miles. The first half was laid back and social, but then a few of us got frisky and started hammering - pulls up to 26 MPH and one maniac attacking at 30, with the rest of us HTFU to catch up. So we flew home to the end of the ride and maybe the end of the season. Bittersweet.

Not today, however, I did 16 miles last night on the Sugar River Trail. T'was a beautiful night, not overly cool or windy. The only down side being the clouds obscuring a full moon.

Did a metric today. Great fall weather today. I'm showered changed and relaxed but my wife wants to go out on the tandem for a short ride. Hope I can get a nap in before we go to the pub to meet some friends.

55 miles that started with light rain and ended with a sunny sky and a 20 mph headwind. Trip completed in 3 hour and 15 minutes.

I threw my bike in the car and went with my teenage daughter to the animal shelter where she volunteers. While she walked the dogs, I repeatedly rode up and down the nearby hill for an hour. This was a big deal for me, as my usual route is fairly flat.

I spent 1.5 hours riding mtb in a local park. Nice fall day with temps in the high 60's. I'm getting the hang of mtb's over the more technical stuff and steep drops and did not stop the bike at all let alone crash.

Nobody riding anymore? Last night had 40+ winds and rain so I wimped out and did 1 hour on the rollers while watching the "Biggest Looser". I couldn't watch any other channels on the TV as my wife was DVR'ing two programs at the same time and I don't mess with her TV shows.

Hi there, started my lunchtime ride today on my folding bike but was cut short after 1.5 miles because I hit a pothole and the seat post snapped !!!
Thankfully it was on a cycle path not the busy road next to it. I think the post was bent already and this was the final straw. So walk back to my office and ordered a replacement on Ebay. So out oif action for a few days (whilst at work). Because I don't get much time cycling during the week got this folder to keep at work and ride when my schedule and the weather allows, on average about 5 miles. Today was mild and sunny so was planning to tour around a few villages near to where I work in Uxbridge/UK. Better luck next time.

Nope. Not so far this week, in fact. Snow, ice, fun ...ahem... "stuff" like that. But I did spend an hour last night on the trainer riding tempo (5-10bpm sub-LT for 45 min. What fun.). Things look pretty good for tomorrow's commute, long as it don't rain/snow tonight.

didn't ride but I looked at my bikes and I'm developing a plan to move the junk that is blocking access to them. one step closer to pumping the tires and finding my shorts

1.25 hrs of single track. Cool high 40's sunny. Fun and easy ride with a couple small hard efforts in order to save some gas for two cyclo cross races this weekend.

Nice ride down to town for a pastry, and then back up the hill with a pastry for my wife. About 1 hour in total, all on dirt, gravel and baby heads.
