Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Castelli Endurance bibs

Found them on a triathlon supply site (swim outlet) for $106.95. Way cheaper than any alternative seller. I needed a replacement pair for the pair that I crashed hard while wearing.

Been on a spending spree recently. Surprisingly I'm not being asked for a divorce.

Cycleops Jet Fluid Pro Trainer kit. I'm really pleased with the trainer except for the welds. I bet Michael J Fox could weld a cleaner straight line with less splatter.

Set of Climbing Wheels. Reynolds Thirty Two... The rear wheel with 7900 cassette and skewer weigh a few dozen grams more than the 2010 404 front wheel.

Bought a Tiagra 12-30 cassette to try on the tandem. Didn't seem worth the extra coin to go Ultegra since the tandem full-up weights quite a bit.

With 20% off at Performance, I snagged Chamois butt'r Eurostyle for $16.99 because the tub I have now is almost empty.

Got a new pair of cleats for $20 with 20% off of Performance's online price of $25.

A pair of Performance Stretch Fleece gloves. A great deal for $2.99/pair!

A pair of DeFeet Aireator factory second socks. Came to $3.99 for a pair with 20% off

Just ordered new SPD-SL cleats and Koolstop brake pads from Amazon for the CAAD 10. Hope they hurry the delivery, couldn't afford the 2-day delivery though.

Fizik Tail Light, Bonty RL bottle cage, Wahoo Fitness SPeed / Cadence sensor.

Fighting the urge to pull the trigger on a Blk / Red Edge 500; my bike is black / red / white, and as the lady at my LBS said "nothing is wrong with being to matchy-matchy"!

Picked up a Forte carbon fork. Fork steerer on my bike finally failed (apparently had an unseen crack and finally crushed as I was re-installing a stem with a torque wrench). No more carbon steerers.

I got the cleats and brake pads today, the FedEx/USPS delivery that was free at Amazon was super fast. Glad I didn't pay for 2-day.

A pair of these Castelli Nanoflex leg warmers. I'm amazed at how much warmer they are than the thin ones I've used. I forgot to take my usual ones to my Thanksgiving getaway and bought a pair at the LBS for 20% off. I should've bought 2 pair.

Those are the best leg warmers I have ever used! Warm, stay in place, and so far are wearing well.
