The old formula was pretty intense. Doing a 4 loko challenge would result in many bad decisions and waking up the next morning feeling like straight death

I don't know what the challenge is, but I bought 4 of them right before they were discontinued to see what the big deal was. I thought they were disgusting and did nothing to get me drunk or hyper. I could only drink two of them, tossed the other two. I never really understood it, Sparks had been around for years before loko, we drank that in college all the time and it actually tasted half way decent. Loko just tasted like cheap 40's with jolly ranchers dumped in them.

Just switched from a HTC desire HD (3G) to a S4 (LTE). Kind of shocked with how fast the damn internet is on this thing, now I will get even less done.

Today I skipped the club ride and went into the mountains for 7 hours with a group organized by a young lady I met from Bike Forums. At the start a guy says "Aren't you Big John?"
Turns out it's a guy who was in our club in 1991 and he remembered me from then, 22 years ago. An advantage of sticking out like a sore thumb.

I knew a guy in college who liked to pregame with Cisco Coolers. He'd walk down to this liquor store in a totally sketchy part of Berkeley where they took his obviously fake ID. That stuff was nasty.

So... I showed up at a "stag party ride", i.e. a ride to celebrate someone about to get married but with no strippers etc. 3 PM. I got there early, like 2:20. I see the soon-to-be-married guy, in a kit, fiddling with his bike. Perfect, right on time. Use one of the bathrooms in the house to change into shorts, finish the process outside (jersey etc). Get bike together, shoes, helmet, walk back into the garage. Guy is there but now in street clothes. "Isn't the ride at 3?"
He looks at me for a second with a puzzled look on his face than starts laughing.
"Dude, we rode at 10."
hahaha
He made me walk out to the patio where a bunch of guys were hanging out so that they could see that I was all kitted up. I have no idea how I got 10 and 3 mixed up.
I changed back into street clothes and then hung out with them until about 8 or so. Really good bunch of guys.

I stayed in Danbury, CT last night. I'm flying out of White Plains right now. I think I saw signs to THE FAMOUS Bethel. I wanted to stop for a while to ride in a crit, but I think I'm a little late in the season for that. Beautiful country you have here, folks. Thanks for letting me visit.

She's been reading up on ADD as it relates to the kids, and thinks she might have it too. She asked if I ever thought she might have ADD. I said it hadn't occured to me, I just thought she was nuts.

built a 12 foot by 2.5 foot by 1.5 foot tall raised flower bed over the weekend. Last week we spent a lot of time demolishing the old brick one and moving the dirt, then we built a new wooden one and filled the dirt back in.
That's around 2.5 tons of dirt for those of you keeping track at home. Plus there was about a ton of bricks and debris (I know because we had to get weighed at the dump).
I'm sore.

I was stung by a bee in my sweet soft inner thigh. It's swollen like a baseball and hits my other leg when I walk, causing more itching. This might be my itchiest month ever.

Struggled a bit on the last climb where it was getting hot. 6.5 hours in.
They allow you to ride a steel bike with gears in L.A.? And no tats? How come you're not in jail?
