Well.... I finally decided to get back into doing some mountain biking so I picked up a very capable Trek from the LBS guys that have been taking care of my classic rides for years.

Waiting for winter to go and the trails to open back up.

I did take this out Sunday for a cold 24 miles. An old 5200 I got this summer to fix up as a light, triple geared ride for the days with lots of climbing.

Worked over the paint a couple of weeks ago to restore the glorious sheen of it's youth.

Then this beautiful old Calfee was finally pretty much completed. Hoping to get it out sometime soon for a shakedown riding.

I've got some used Reynolds DV46 wheels inbound that I plan to run on this.

My newest addition

1975 Colnago Super
I’m still riding the same type bikes I rode when I was in my twenties, but couldn’t afford. I’ll be 68 this year and luvin every mile!

It's warming up in central Iowa and I plan on getting out this weekend. The snow and ice haven't completely melted so I'm taking out my 1992 drop bar Stumpjumper; it's the perfect bike for crummy roads:

My "old man" bike

The latest addition to the stable. It's a Trek Emonda SL5. I've swapped out the factory Bontrager alloy wheels with a pretty nice set of FFWD 44mm carbon wheels. Also added a 4iiii power meter (left side only) . A "lively" ride, to say the least.

Mike

How long has it been since you glued a tubular on Mavic GL330 rims? Naw, modern stuff for me except for the frame and fork.

Well this is the latest in the stable. Winter project bike to play around with. Finished it Friday morning as 3 days of storming began so still no ride on it yet. Probably won't keep this one but gave me a chance to get another old, neglected steel beast back on the road.

Dura Ace 7400 parts added to this with some Mavic Kyserium wheels.

Here is my KHS.

And my old KHS.

Around 1984 I had a KHS Winner road bike like this but mine was blue and much larger.

I just built this out. My old Scott CR1 served me VERY well, but with a suspected crack in the frame, it was time to say bye-bye.

So I found a used frame in excellent condition, and pretty much transferred the same components (except the seat post and the proprietary brake bolts) to the new one.

Surprisingly, it fits well without a lot of niggling. If it rides half as good as it looks, I'll be happy.
