Just an educated guess, but I suspect deflated sew-ups.

I agree definitely sew-ups. Did they ever make 10mm tires?

Interesting, I wish I had an extra $1200 and it was bigger.

In my household, the word 'seventen' is usually preceded by 'trek', but we'll make an exception for 'miyata'.

Small Miyata Seven Ten 710. I would guess this is an '85? Listed at $145-

That looks very much like my Alyeska, though my Alyeska doesn't have the fork lettering, the drillium brake levers, or the tri-color components. Same colors on the frame, though.

Whenever I see a seat that low, I see a seller who's too short to ride the bike, and possibly willing to bargain on price.

Nope. You have to be a paying member to advertise in the Classifieds. I'd delete this now if I were you.

I still wonder about that. However, there were lots of wood and bamboo bikes in the last NAHBS. Those high quality builders must be a testament to the usability of these materials.

If they used bushings for the joints, it would last longer, but I still don't see it being anything more than a show piece.

Hey, the Brits built a very effective wood fighter bomber during WW II called the Mosquito. If it worked for planes.........

I remember watching a documentary on it. Herman Goring was both impressed and frustrated by it. His comment, paraphrased, "it's such a good plane and every damned piano maker in England is building one".

Size 52 Marinoni steel-frame with great components - $200 (Cambridge)

Got a new bike, selling my classic Canadian Marinoni size 52 steel-frame after some well loved years! I'm 5'4 female, frame fits me great. Frame from the 90s and used for years of winter road-races and commutes, has some rust and needs some TLC. This bike may be best sold for its components. One-year-old shifters, Shimano 105, like new. Front derailer, also Shimano 105 and in great shape. Two year old Shimano Tiagra back derailer, works beautifully. Shimano 105 brakes, great shape. Mavis wheels, strong, light-weight.

The tires in the photos are NOT included, unfortunately, those are my summer tires which I'll be keeping.

Going for $200. Feel free to reach out with questions!
