Here's something you don't see often. Got a couple of simple issues to attend to. Negotiable?

WV is not flat..
Richmond has 3 or 4 serious flippers. One of them is the guy I got the wheels for you from. One operation has a big warehouse downtown loaded with bikes. Kinda of a low key Pros Closet. The one that bought the Miyata is easy to spot. His bikes are stored in a self storage. He pulls them out and takes the ad pics in the self storage hallway. When you see a pic with the background like the Miyata, you'll know it's that person. Another's location when you look at the area map is right off of Janke Road. He also stores his in a self storage/container, but takes his pics outside. The flipper that I got the wheelsets from takes his pics with the bike up against a white pickup. Mechanicsville is in his heading. The bikes you see listed from Chesapeake/Great Bridge is probably Norfolk/Va Beach's biggest flipper. If you go there to look at a bike on the weekend, they'll have around 50 bikes in the driveway displayed for sale just like a car lot.
If you look close enough and see the patterns/similarities in the postings, most of/a large percentage of the listing on the Richmond CL are flipper bikes.

the williamsburgers' dilemma - too nice to leave locked outside, too heavy to wrestle up to the loft.

Q) When is a Brooks Swift not a Swift?
A) When it's a Professional.
Sigh. This one looked really really good but a) Seller didn't want to ship and b) I think he saw I'm a foreign lad and now says he'll list it on the 'Bay. I thought $80 + shipping was a good deal. Perhaps some one in Fort Myers area needs a Pro?

This might a very nice price, judging by 'Bay pricing for Dura Ace, especially the newer stuff.

Nice vintage tandem. I suspect the market for these is really small.
https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bi...274057725.html
"This is an early to mid-eighties (not sure of exact year) custom tandem with lots of nice stuff, in ready-to-ride condition. This bike has been ridden only once since I last had it overhauled and serviced by a professional mechanic. We are selling because we don't have enough room to store it in our new house and are tired of paying for a storage unit, will be sad to see it sold but happy someone will be enjoying it.
The frame is Italian Columbus SL Cr-Mo double-butted tubing, with Campagnolo forged dropouts front and rear. Sloping crown fork, and rear axle adjusters. Size is 24" and 20". Other notable parts are:
- Very desirable Phil Wood hubs. Alloy rims have no markings, the entire wheelset is extremely high quality; 48 spoke F & RR, 27".
- Arai rear drum brake
- Campagnolo headset
- Huret Duopar Eco rear derailleur / Shimano 600 Arabesque front derailleur. 12 speed.
- Mafac cantilever brakes and levers. These are set up as a linked system; right lever controls front and rear together, left lever operates Arai drum. Works very well.
- Sugino AT cranks
- Blackburn rack
- Brand new tires: Continental SuperSport Plus (puncture protection)
- Front seat not included, but will leave it on for your test ride
This tandem is a high-quality build and in excellent condition; ready to ride as-is. It could be parted out and the main components sold for more than my asking price (just look up the actual selling price of some of these components), but I would prefer to keep it together if possible. This would be a great way to try out a nice road tandem on a budget (will hold its value), and a great find for any vintage bike enthusiast.
Ad will be deleted when sold, so no need to ask. Please reply w/ phone number and time to call. Thanks for looking."

^ In case anyone’s interested, I’m in Cincinnati and happy to help. I’ve seen this one listed locally and it looks really cool. But...yes, tandems are kind of out of fashion it seems.

Wow! The Pashley must weigh 40 lbs.
The rear brake is properly on the left hand lever, I see. I bet it rides great once you get it up to speed, until the first hill.

1990 Trek Antelope 850 Gravel Conversion - $180 (Belmont)
This was a parts bin purge kind of project build, but it's still better spec'd than anything you'd find at a department store for the same price. If you're looking for something to take bike packing, touring, or winter commuting, then please consider this budget Surly. The bike is tuned up and ready to ride.Specs:

More for the Miyata fans - a reasonably priced 912, for once (for some reason I've seen these poking into the 500+ range)
https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...280450461.html
versatile steel road bike, sought after lugged frame and fork made with Miyata spine tubing. (such a sharp looking seat cluster!)
this one has a triple crank and a suntour long cage XC sport derailleur for the hills. original avocet seat and fluted seatpost. Mavic 700c rims laced to what i think are specialized hubs. nearly new gatorskin tires. Nitto stem and bars. some light scratches but overall great shape
52 cm seat tube (c to c) and 53 cm top tube
can't hold, can't deliver
please check a size chart to know if this bike fits

I've been looking for a good deal on a Brooks for a build that I got from Madhonk. Most used Brooks out there are worn out/abused and when you find a good price on a good seat, some sellers won't ship, especially to Canada. Finally got a really nice Pro so never followed up on this.
https://denver.craigslist.org/bop/d/...279202756.html
I think $90 for a Swift that looks like this pretty fair. Denver sale
Per ad:
Virtually new Brooks Swift saddle including wrench and leather treatment. I used this saddle on two rides so approximately 2-3 hours of use but decided that I'm not interested in going through a break-in period.
$90
Only trade consideration would be for a Selle SMP saddle
Available if the ad is up

Tall Pro frame and the price is right, https://offerup.com/item/detail/1073518714/
The frame looks like it would clean-up with Campy bar ends to boot.
