Real nice weather sunny and mid 60's went on a nice Sunday ride on the side roads which are finally nice and clear no mud or snow.. Had to stop for awhile for a Moose crossing on county road 14.
Moose just stayed in the road for about 5 minutes taking there time.

It was a lovely day in central Texas and I got in 37 miles on my vintage Trek to downtown Dallas and around the area.
Two of the pics are at Dallas City Hall.
One at Dealey Plaza looking through window of Grassy Knoll across the road.
Also one with the arch gateway that has an Asian architecture look to me.
The funny one is a mural of Godzilla shooting flames on Big Tex and a robot shooting water on him.
A number of years back Big Tex did catch on fire and had to be repaired.

Today was a 30-mile loop along the Catskill Escarpment, also called the Wall of Manitou.
From Woodstock it was north to Palenville where there’s a fine little country store.
A few miles eastward, then back south to Zena, where I turned back north and into Woodstock and home at the foot of Overlook Mountain.
This was my first ride since I cleaned and tweaked the PX10 which performed well.
In particular the long cage SLJ6600 rear derailleur delivers smooth silent shifts even with big jumps on the wide range freewheel.

I assume on your left as you are facing ahead riding down the road?

WOW lots of beautiful scenery, you guys make it tough for girl living in an ugly city tough to come up with good pics.
Well the stars finally aligned and I managed to get a rare clear warm day while I was off work. So I managed to get out for a little season opener meandering.
My fabulous '86 SIzzling Peach Volpe got the honor of the first ride, it slightly relaxed geomentry makes it a great early season ride.
Just a little Cul de Sac cruising as I didn't want to get too far from home on the first ride. I have to learn how to make my starting point
Since blooming trees seem to be the "photo of the day" here's my humble submission.

Went to the Birmingham Bicycle Club meeting this evening at a local brewery. After the meeting I did a short 13 mile ride around downtown on my '65 Schwinn Racer 3-speed. Wonderful weather tonight!

This afternoon and evening's ride was to and from the weekly shift at the Rusty Spoke co-op. The afternoon gusting headwinds were character-building but just about the perfect temperature, and the work time rather busy with many customers, but the ride home (including dinner at a little Chinese place) was nearly perfect. The [REDACTED]-pound chrome cruiser and all its blinking lights wasn't fast as it carried donated parts south and fried rice north, but it's comfortable and fun.

Nice sunny start to the day, but the forecast said it wouldn't last and rain was due later. I finished work early so after lunch was able to head out for a few hours and managed to get back home before the rain started.
Some more color in the form of some new mural finds.
This one has 'cattitude'
I love the styling of old American cars, so my final pic of the day features 4 wheels rather than 2. We don't get many of your old classics here in the UK as they are huge on our tiny congested roads, and our petrol prices will make even those with deep pockets wince. So this is a rare sight on this side of the pond, and what a great color and amazing condition, and enough chrome to keep the C&V crowd happy, a beautiful 1949 Cadillac.
Some more color in the form of some new mural finds.

The sense of colours in particular is exceptional, isn't of lay people.

Today's ride was to the Phoenix Metro Bicycle Club's quarterly membership breakfast down in Tempe. Last fall, I refit my Raleigh Professional Mk IV with a different handlebar setup after an overhaul, but I hadn't had the chance for a longer-distance test, so I thought today might be s good opportunity.
I led a small but intrepid group through the Biltmore and Arcadia districts, then south along the Crosscut Canal pathway. A stop at a bike shop to see the latest Pivot models, then another stop at a plaque commemorating the German POW escape tunnel, and then to a filling breakfast with friendly folks.
On the way back, we enjoyed a tailwind that made up for months of all those cursed headwinds. Stopped for a selfie at one of the places named after my great-great-uncle,
and then sped up the newly-paved Grand Canal path to the Indian Medical Center to see how the Free Bikes 4 Kidz collection drive was coming along.
After that, a stomp up & over 7th Street for some steep hill work, then home with 43 miles for the day and some fun times in the memories.

First ride of the year in shorts!
Had a busy winter and early spring, so not much riding lately. I've tried to ride the Super Course once a week, but that's about it. Today felt nice and warm, though. Same old ride, but this time a wedding party at the top. With the way it's been raining, these guys were really, really lucky!
