1986 Raleigh Men's Road Bike Tall 23 1/2"Frame 12 Speed Bicycle - $250 (Danvers MA)

Date: 2010-04-06, 4:12PM EDT
Reply to: sale-wzrwv-1679423352@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I have a nice shaped Raleigh that the serial number dates to 1986. 33" standover, continental tires, Dia Compe brakes, Shimano components. It has been idle for a long time, so it can use a simple tune-up (adjustments of the brakes). Should be a good fit for someone over 6' tall. Not trashed; This survivor was built to last; Priced to move. Why settle for less? You Will Love This Ride. PLEASE reply with your phone number, so I will know that you aren't an email phisher....
Buy Local - Buy Used! Stick it to the corporations. Let's all help do our part to tell the like of Goldman Sachs to shove it.
I Like to Barter- I may consider partial trades for old US coins or old/scrap/broken/ugly gold or platinum jewelry; olde Sterling Silverware; but Cash is King; Unless you have some cool trades, my price is firm.
Thanks for looking; craigslist rules!

Oh, my. You could sell the shifters alone for that. The whole bike... I guess around ten times that? Oofa.

Oh, just out of reach...

This one, at 2.5 hours away is just past my sanity radius...

Miyata 610 for only $100 (near Harrisonburg, VA)

Anyone nearby want to make a few bucks?

Someone in the Bay Area better get this before I do...

This was a tough choice, but I'll post it. I simply cannot fit another bike in my living room, but my mind could change. This is an excellent price and I called the seller to verify its condition. It's still available as of now.

* 58 CM MOTOBECANE GRANG JUBILEE ROAD BIKE - $150 (san jose)

vitus 127 frame & fork, suntour cyclone derailleurs, old good quality bike, bike is rideable but needs new tires, tires are old, little bit of rust, you can make a good fixie out of this,408 8392905

And the original link: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/1679589557.html

I'll probably kick myself later for not buying this.

-Collin-

Edit: It does NOT come with the nice gentleman in the background.

Leftthread beat me to posting it
https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/1680722709.html

Anyone have any guesses as to what it is? Just curious since I'm sliding into garage purge layoff mode. But if it might be a Pin or DeRosa I might be tempted to do something stupid. I'm guessing the seller's measurement of the frame as a 21" size would be center to center based on looking at the pics.

This one showed up in my saved searches; not sure what quality was like in the '80s. Check the Q&A - seller's a little snarky.

Lotus Odyssey bike w/ Columbus frame early 80's vintage

Auction here.

That brings back so many memories. My first "real" bike was a Lotus Odyssey with Columbus tubing and I absolutely loved it. I hope my Koga Miyata ends up half as nice.
