I guess that brake lever could be activated with your scrotum, given a bit of string and/or duct tape. It's like skidding, I guess, only you pull on 'em, instead of pushing.

some unused sante hub i had kicking around in the parts box. think i was gonna build it up to one of the spare aeroheads i had, but didn't feel like paying for spokes. then i dropped the aerohead one day and the spoke hole gouged a cut in my finger so i got pissed and sold the rim haha.

Mucky - I like your new bike and I do understand why you have the oddly-placed rear brake but I'm really confused over how it "works better" than a properly functional front brake.
