Holy cr@p, my first bike ever was a brand new bright red Sears 26" cantilever-frame single speed. And actually, I've been pondering setups like this. We plan to retire to a rustic cabin off-grid, and are thinking about ways to use pedal power either to power things or make things. This execution looks, er, less than elegant.

Pretty sure the Univega "Specialissima" was the Miyata 1000 while the "Gran Touring" was an inferior product made in Taiwan. A local wrench found a Specialissima in a dumpster in Leland not too long ago. I obviously frequent the wrong dumpsters. (Had a gander at it while it was on the stand, and it was definitely a 1000.)

I think I'll call this one a little optimistic.

Bianchi Sport SX Road Bike - $600 (Springfield)

This is a Bianchi Sport SX Road Bike. In great shape. Only $600. Trades welcome. No 420. Trades would be at a higher value though.

It does have the front wheel and an extra tube and red tire.
I was going to say no right brake lever, but I suppose it is visible in the second photo. Just no cable or rear brake caliper.

^^^^^ Seller thought that by removing the rear brake, it would auto-magically become a fixie. Front wheel is being repaired from the endo that resulted.....

That matching stem totally makes that bike, with the GT logo. I'm finishing up a beater GT Richter w/under top tube hidden cable routing, Tange Prestige tubing. They were such a great bike company.

Well, it's an interesting idea? ....? I actually don't know what to say about this because my brain can't even seem to tally up all the very many different reasons why I'm pretty sure this would and could never, ever work.

I do think it's a neat bike, and the GTs of that era were generally quite good. This one is interesting, with some unusual features. I just think it's overpriced. Even so, perhaps it would have been more suited for "Are you looking for one of these?"

That particular seller posts a lot of nice bike parts on Craigslist, but as always you have to know what things are worth because he does price things frequently at top dollar.

This bike frame measures out to be between 23 and 24 inches. It should comfortably fit someone from 4'10" to 5'5" tall. The bike is in great shape and shifts through the gears very nicely. There is a tear in the seat that is shown in the photos. Price $140

Nice bike, but:
Peugeot PX 10 project for sale. 57 cm/22.5 in frame size. Purchased new in 1977. Complete except handle bars and saddle.

"Complete" if you want an adult balance-bike that you're not going to pedal, shift or brake...

Univega Via Carisma - $500 (Eugene, OR)

Up for sale is an early Univega Via Carisma, 700c wheels and new Shimano cantilever brakes. Installed a new chain, cables, grips and pedals. Very fun bike, pictured with some period correct Specialized trispoke wheels but do have the originals. Does not include the Neon pink Rolls saddle or MKS straps. Email or text with any questions.
Perhaps it should be considered a good thing that the seller is keeping the seat and toe straps.

Someone's actually trying to get money, as in real US dollars, for a bike that TV Lenny could barely give away back when disco sucked.

Those double brake levers were a really short lived idea for BMX. People would run both a cantilever brake and a side pull on the rear for extra braking power. But people realized it was kinda a silly idea and just added weight to your bike.

2-Columbia Pepsi Spirit Bikes Each - $75 (Niagara Falls, New York)

Buffalo Ny Craigslist - can't ad link (?)

If this is good condition ...
Per ad
"2-Columbia Pepsi Spirit Bikes
Pre-owned. Good Condition. $75.00 or B.O. for Each"

If you can ignore it's a Free Spirit and focus on front wheel, chain, cranks bars and bar tape and he has two of these!!!
Funniest part of ad for me is the map accompanying it. Within 100 yards of sellers alleged location is Niagara Cycle.
Seller also has a Huffy Magnum for $149, though to be fair the Huffy is in a lot better shape.
