I saved her from a dumpster... her headlight lens was broken (replaced that) and have since re-laced both wheels as the original spokes were corroded from what I am sure was long term storage. Wheels were as true as they come and thought some stainless spokes would keep them looking good.
I did replace the bars as someone had installed risers... was quite thankful they did not lose the Mafac open back levers as these are a little hard to find.
I really need to update the pictures of "Edith", besides the new headlight lens and shiny new spokes she has some nice Pasela tyres... the original tyres were Michelins with blkue stripes but you cannot buy those in anything but a racing width these days.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
You should see what she looks like when she is all polished up... when I took this picture I had only wiped off a little dust.
She looks pretty good for being 56 years old and she gets ridden although not daily... a friend of mine who is an authority on old bicycles said that in Japan this bicycle would fetch upwards of $2500.00 because they are so sought after while here, they are just looked at as old "ten speeds"
The PLX8 is actually an 8 speed... it has a 4 speed block in the rear which was pretty typical in the 50's.
I will strive to take some new photos... with my much improved camera.

I love all of your bikes, but this PDM bike made my heart skip a beat or two (I'm Dutch)! Have you got a matching jersey? I know Concorde made a lot of bikes with racenumbertags, but the world cup sticker intriges me. Do you know about the history of the bike?

I don't believe it has a particularly interesting provenance. The previous owner didn't mention any. It has the Italian tricolor on the toptube which, IIRC, means it was a production build by Billato. The sticker reads PDM World Cup 1988.

Im actually in the process of trying to get some Carridice bags. Have also been looking at Military surplus stuff. Longest I could be off is a few days so I wouldnt need too much gear.

Picked this up a couple weeks back, threw on a gator skin and some bar tape. Its a 1985 SR300 with shimano 600 SIS derailleurs and Tektro brakes

Totally agree, and what a steal. Frame is too small for me, but I would raise that seat post as far as it would go and ride the hell out of that bike. As I've been known to say a time or two, I love a lugged frame.

I'm pretty sure it is Campy Triomphe, but I have a hard time remembering the differences from Victory as they are so similar. Entry level Campagnolo. Still nice.
