Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think I learned a new word today: Gamin. Don't recall ever knowing that one. Will it be the next Wordle?

Sunday's child is bonny, and blithe, good, and gay.

At least that's what the poem says.

I was hoping to watch Tour of Flanders on GCN+, but I am unable to create an account due to error messages. Customer support is non-existent.

It was a very exciting finish. I won't spoil. Watch it, if only the highlights on YouTube.

Interesting. We had one of those in April 1987. In southeast Ohio. We lived on top of a half mile long hill, and didn't consider descending in our 4WD Subaru. There was a party we wanted to attend.

Now that you mention it, I was born 15 months, to the day, after my sister. And less than 24 hours after my wife.

YMMV
I usually get the best Motorola I can get for less than $250. Actual price paid has gone up and down though. I spent $189 for a Moto in 2016, then $239 for two (BOGO!) in 2019. That one was a little slow though, then I broke the speaker so $229 for a single phone again in 2021.

I can't think of any Thursday songs, other than a couple that mention every day of the week.

In lieu of that, here's a nice Tuesday song, with train content

One time at work a company or so ago, we were talking about birthdays, and I discovered that a woman I worked with not only had the same birthDAY, but the same birthDATE, and it turns out we were both born around Noon, but she was older because she was born in Eastern Africa, whereas I was born in upstate New York.
