Mexico, which would explain the Super Record group. I didn't notice that it is a Mexico, that is a pretty good deal...

It looks like an 89 frame, built with 83ish components. Odd....
Unfortunately if it were that close I'd be grabbing it for myself!

Perhaps the seller needs a better description in his ad and a less cluttered surrounding. And a Celeste Bianchi!! Even here in sunny SoCal prices are a bit down this time of year from my experience. It even rained the last 2 days which we need. I am going to ask about the parts on it.
I think the whole group is Record, there were a couple of years that Campy didn't label the components as Record, the only way to know is by the finish and interior workings. I could be wrong but, whatever it is, it is nice looking and that is a great price for a great Bianchi. Were it my size, I'd be looking for a facilitator...

Cannondale

Good price for just the parts (or even just the Mavic MA40s). If I wasn't on a bike freeze right now I would probably grab it myself.

[h=2]Cannondale - $100 (N. Bethesda)[/h]

Half Tone Blue/ Gray CANNONDALE with top notch components.
My boyfriend built this bike by hand and used top notch parts. I rode it everywhere and have now switched to another hobby so it's been sitting for a while and needs some love (aka air and grease). Otherwise, it's a beautiful bike and rides like a dream.

I don't know much about bikes but here are some of the components:

Shimano 600
Tioga Surafoot
Shimano Friction
Edge Brake Handles
Dia Compe

$85 cash pick up.
No returns

I believe it. Somewhere around 90/91 Bianchi switched to those shipmano dropouts and BB. I am not sure why the BB stitch but I believe the dropouts was for more positive wheel placement for index systems.

Nothing wrong with the rear tire clearance Bianchi was making some pretty tight rearends back then.

So, this Mexico just sold in Miami 1 hr after it was listed. Was given to owner over 20 years ago by friend who was on tour in Italy...

$450

I couldn't get to it quick enough. Any idea of what something like this would go for in good condition? I was unable to find any examples with the number on the seat tube.

Its worth at least twice that asking price. I'm not sure about the number.

Maybe they saw your post because they bumped up their asking price to $200 (they probably just got bombarded with interested buyers).

Also, that's some interesting brake cable routing.

You can't go wrong at that price point provided the frame is in good shape.

The seller says, "It's just Campagnolo but it looks like Record". I put his number in my phone to text and found I had contact with him before. He was selling a Casati and didn't know anything about it.
If it fits anyone here and you are interested I will go and look at it. It's a 5 minute drive. He just verified it's 8 speed. 1 wheel has a Campy hub, the other is? He says he does not know.

Countdown to 1,000 pages and 25,000 posts. Wonder how many bikes were purchased as a direct result of this thread.

noglider is listed as the original poster but I'm fairly certain that he said that the early posts had been deleted because it had gotten so long. I wonder how many posts/pages there have really been over time?

Fair street value is $1000-1500 depending on completeness of group and other factors. As it sits I would have paid up to $800 or so. The number was an owner add-on, probably from a triathlon.

Your referring to my Bianchi? That is a x23 Vittoria Rally, you don't get that much more space with a smaller tire. Those short fat stays to help me get over the hills a little better though.

Judging from his use of the name Campione de Mondo as the model name and not bothering to reference the Columbus tubing or the Reparto Corse decal seems to indicate lack of knowledge on bikes.
