I too have seen this ad, since I live in Costa Mesa. I don't know what level of Campy is on there and is that 8 speed? Looks like the rims don't match. Bummer. If it was 1 size bigger I probably would have checked it out. You and I ride the same size I think.
Perhaps the seller needs a better description in his ad and a less cluttered surrounding. And a Celeste Bianchi!! Even here in sunny SoCal prices are a bit down this time of year from my experience. It even rained the last 2 days which we need. I am going to ask about the parts on it.

Cannondale
Good price for just the parts (or even just the Mavic MA40s). If I wasn't on a bike freeze right now I would probably grab it myself.
[h=2]Cannondale - $100 (N. Bethesda)[/h]
Half Tone Blue/ Gray CANNONDALE with top notch components.
My boyfriend built this bike by hand and used top notch parts. I rode it everywhere and have now switched to another hobby so it's been sitting for a while and needs some love (aka air and grease). Otherwise, it's a beautiful bike and rides like a dream.
I don't know much about bikes but here are some of the components:
Shimano 600
Tioga Surafoot
Shimano Friction
Edge Brake Handles
Dia Compe
$85 cash pick up.
No returns

I had this same frame in celeste once upon a time. It's got frame panto, ovalized tubes, pearlized paint and it's stamped a 57 even thought he calls it a 56. The sales literature called it the "TSX Ultralight." Believe it or not, it probably has shimano dropouts and an english thread BB (at least mine did. Probably Bianchi trying to be "world friendly".) I assure you though, it is everything you'd ever want it to be. It was only in a temporary moment of insanity that I sold mine to help pay for an aluminum Pinarello when that is what everyone wanted.

^I'd be nervous if I were riding that as-is. I would probably change the rear tire to be at least giving *some* clearance!! I guess it's my history of en-dos that that sort of things chills me to the bone...

So, this Mexico just sold in Miami 1 hr after it was listed. Was given to owner over 20 years ago by friend who was on tour in Italy...
$450
I couldn't get to it quick enough. Any idea of what something like this would go for in good condition? I was unable to find any examples with the number on the seat tube.

Maybe they saw your post because they bumped up their asking price to $200 (they probably just got bombarded with interested buyers).
Also, that's some interesting brake cable routing.

"Schwinn Voyageur touring bicycle, 3 spots for water bottle cages, 18 speed, triple front chain rings, Columbus Tenax frame, Shimano Deore components, places to mount multiple racks, dia compe cantilever brakes, 23" frame c-t seat tube and 22.5" c-c top tube. 27" rims and tires. Some paint chips and scrapes and will need new bar tape, but this bike has a lot of potential for a nice touring bike.

I think the whole group is Record, there were a couple of years that Campy didn't label the components as Record, the only way to know is by the finish and interior workings. I could be wrong but, whatever it is, it is nice looking and that is a great price for a great Bianchi. Were it my size, I'd be looking for a facilitator...
If it fits anyone here and you are interested I will go and look at it. It's a 5 minute drive. He just verified it's 8 speed. 1 wheel has a Campy hub, the other is? He says he does not know.

Countdown to 1,000 pages and 25,000 posts. Wonder how many bikes were purchased as a direct result of this thread.

noglider is listed as the original poster but I'm fairly certain that he said that the early posts had been deleted because it had gotten so long. I wonder how many posts/pages there have really been over time?

The seller says, "It's just Campagnolo but it looks like Record". I put his number in my phone to text and found I had contact with him before. He was selling a Casati and didn't know anything about it.
