Yeah, I've never quite gotten how the bottom is supposed to work on the Crossrack, but the Basil bag rides high enough that it doesn't matter. There are some clips you can get for thinner rack tubing, but they cost so much that I'm just going to build up the tubing with electrical tape.

Shimano Turkiye decided to gift PD-RS500 pedals to anyone who buys a pair of their RC3 shoes couple weeks ago. So although I have a pair of RP2 (can be seen in the back), I ended up buying those. Good thing is that my old pair is also usable with SPD cleats.

Just sold my 2022 Emonda ALR. I enjoyed it but wanted something a little more aggressive. When the 2023 came out ( a month after I bought mine). I was pissed. Test rode my friends a week ago, and literally went from the group ride to the trek store to place an order. Should be ready to go tomorrow.
This frame will match my 2022 madone sl/slr geometry wise.

Vittoria 622/25-28 latex tubes for my 700x28 tires. I've been using Vittoria (and Silca branded Vittoria made) latex tubes for my 700x23 tires for a few years and they're great with equally good tires like the Soma Supple Vitesse. The results were just oh-kay with Continental Ultra Sport 3 in 700x28, better than the heavy duty butyl tubes I'd been using. But my next step will be Soma Supple Vitesse in 700x28. Latex tubes were great with Conti GP Classic skinwalls (700x25 only) but those tires appear to have been discontinued.

So I didn't get to ride them today as they weren't ready until late this afternoon. I went up and down the street which has a slight upward grade into a head wind coming back and they felt good just lightly spinning. Full disclosure this is my first time on deeper rims like this and you can definitely feel the wind when it hits them. They feel much stiffer than the stock rims that come on the RC 10 I have for sure and are something like 250 grams lighter even at 54mm. My next ride is Tuesday so I'll have a better feel for them then. I'll let you know if I can remember.

Here are my thoughts on the wheels after my ride today:
They feel much stiffer and are more responsive than the syncros 2.0 RP wheels that come stock on the bike and it can be felt as soon as you start moving. They have more snap when putting power down on a climb, which is nice on a day like today (1750' in 12.5 miles). That said, they are sketchy at speed when the wind catches the rim. Descending today on my hill intervals, I was getting 25-30mph gust from almost 90 degrees to the rim and each gust made the bike very twitchy, which I guess happens to all deep rims. This is my first set of rims near this deep so I have nothing else to go off of. the wheels are great overall I think and I don't think I will have any problems once I get used to the bikes new handling characteristics.
