EDIT... You know, I've lived up here my entire life- you'd figure I'd get over that whining about how cold it gets... We've been totally spoiled this winter, I got a new jacket, and it's the first day I'm acctually testing out how warm it'll keep me... it's the middle of January and it hasn't quite hit below zero yet. But no, I have to complain about it...

I don't have any experience with steel cottered cranks, beyond my first ten speed (a lugged Montgomery Wards bike). This FB crankset is much more slender and sleek.
The chainring is quite slender too... how close was the weight to an alloy crankset of that era? Imagine a lightweight crankset where the chainring wore like steel! (because it *was* steel)

Best known for their hubs. Made most of them in Italy up until about 1960. Made all of Campagnolo's hubs prior to 1958.
