Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Some of these posts are lengthy and challenge my desire to power through and read them. In other words, tl;dr

Every vowel in that conversation is a schwa - /ə/ - which, oddly, does not contain a schwa.

I guess that slice of humor is a blind spot. I'm ok with that.

Just found this in the catacombs of my desk, back from when we were a smaller company (pre-acquisition). We would get beer for all-hands meeting on Fridays. Most of the staff that contributed to it are gone and there's 95 bucks in it. What should I do?

hmmmm

That's what I'm thinking. Head to the local brewpub and invite only co-workers that I like, and some alumni/former employees (including my wife)

I didn’t get it either. That means we have a lot more in common than we both thought!

45 miles outside today, just me and 3 e-bikes. They took it easy and it was appreciated by me. Had some headwind both ways, for some reason.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the play-in games, although I'll probably peek in. I'm accustomed to the tournament beginning on Thursday afternoon, spraying an impossible-to-watch burst of games at us all at once. For two straight days. Now that's Madness.
I used to be a big fan of this tournament. Long ago and in a land far away. Even while we lived in Belize we would get a hotel room to watch the two semis— most bang for the buck.

24 km on the bike this morning and I was barely able to do anything until about 4. How did I fall this far? Nought to do but hop back on that horse, I guess.
What would your Garmin tell you to do. Go out again tomorrow or do a recovery day?

Which is what I did.
