Yeah, the 4 of them combined have over 200k in annual income and they got turned down multiple times for 3k/month properties. I don’t know why but it’s their journey. The house is ok and in a great neighborhood so I think they are going to take it and cross fingers the roof won’t leak and the heater won’t die etc

So daughter #1 is looking to rent a house with some friends. They have seen numerous houses and applied to several but are getting turned down.
They got accepted for a nice looking place in a great neighborhood but the property management company has AWFUL reviews online so she is all stressed out. It’s not easy being 23.

If we rent a place here, we're going to find one of the houses rented by a local family. Not a student rental house, not a property management company house, not an offshore investor house.

Had a great ride today with my Coach and some team mates. All of them are super strong. One is just naturally good at cycling, just started racing this year drops 1236 peak watts on a zone 2 ride. The other was a professional bmx racer/ olympic champion. She snaps like a whip when she sprints.
My sprint game is super weak, so I was looking forward to watching my coach and these other two work. The focus was on the bmx turned cyclist. She has an event very soon, so most of the ride I was just the trailer. During the zone 2 portions I would pull. Anyways, each sprint was me trying to chase these guys/ gals down. Everytime I felt like they would jump 20 feet on me instantly. With that being said I hit some really good power numbers and managed to get a KOM, though that was short lived. Like 2 hours short.
New 10 second power 936 watts, 5 seconds 1009.

It was insane, I would watch her gear selection and try to be one smaller. I would watch her posture and I could tell when she was going to go, and I swear in one crank revolution she would get like 20 feet on me. She’s nothing but efficient. Every piece of energy she is putting out is propelling her forward. I need to learn how to do that. With that being said it was the best sprinting I have done to date.

100 years ago isn't as far back as it used to be. My dad was born in 1923. Used to be it was civil war time, and that was a looong time ago.

RMOT: My dad used to tell of a civil war vet in his home town, when he was a little kid. An old man with a white beard sitting on his porch watching the world go by.

The first rider is almost done with the Cross-Washington. 3 days and a few hours is pretty impressive. I'd be happy to finish in 10 days...

No, but the legs have been feeling a lot better in the mornings the last couple of days. I might go to Jim Thorpe Next weekend with the Bike Friday, assuming I can get it working. I have not ridden it in many years. Riding it would mean not having to swing my leg over a top tube.

Jim Thorpe would a flat trail ride. I could turn around whenever I wanted. Definitely not going to go on road for my first ride back.

Sounds like Dad needs to hop on a plane. Especially if you've never been to Cannes.
