anyone w/ new lights?
now that's it's darker/longer it dawned on me (no pun intended) that last year I was working with new lights, batteries & mounts. I guess I should break them out & get out there again
my go-to setup is 2 lite heads on the bars & 1 lite head on the helmet
anybody get new lights? would love to hear about them

Not new lights but I've got some new mounts for my old Portland Design Works Danger Zone lights to install on a couple of new bikes. I've been using these lights for maybe 10+ years.
After going through a fistful of cheap lights from Amazon, I wanted something that I would have to toss in the trash after just a couple of years. The Danger Zones run on AAA batteries. I use rechargeables and haven't had to shop for new taillights in quite a while.

I've been riding more at night this year than ever (been riding since 1983), so I bought a spare battery to back up my existing one for the Lezyne Infinite Light, since I'm not sure how much run time the old battery has.

fantastic that it suits your needs. It unfortunately doesnt stack up to meet my requirements. Therefore, i am unable to justify spending my personal money on such a product.

Local shop was having a clearance sale going on so I picked up 3 cygolite rangers 1400 lights so the kids can join me on more night rides. Can't remember the brand of tail light I picked up at the same time, only bought one but it was 150 lumens and usb-c rechargeable so good enough for my noncommuting purposes.

No new lights here, just pawing through boxes and piles of stuff to find which blinky fits on which mount.
Sigh.

There are a couple of new dyno headlights that interest me, but I haven't seriously looked into buying one of them. Otherwise, I'm adequately supplied with lights.

OTOH, I'm not too thrilled with my rear lights with standlights that just aren't working. Of course, they're at least as old as the headlights.

I really liked the supplementary beam on the Luxos, too bad the light itself had so many failure modes.

I knew I shouldn't have asked! That 150 or 200 lux looks really nice. Now I'm not as content as I used to be...

Descending in the rain in the dark will make you dissatisfied with just about any light, I think.

Schmidt and Bush&Muller will also have lights with a high beam sometime in 2024. Look at my Posting ( New dino headlights with high beams) In Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets. The Supernova light will flicker till you reach a speed between 6-7 mph. My Edelux II stops flickering between 3-4 mph. I am waiting to see what the others do with this.
