Vintage Falcon Road bikes & parts - Dura Ace / Campagnolo

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/...0606350892507/ In Columbus, OH

Seller Says: "Lot of two Falcon road bikes and vintage Dura Ace and Campagnolo components and more!
Blue Bike: 24" frame, 531 Reynolds straight gauge tubing Campagnolo Nuevo Record crankset, brakes, Suntour Cyclone deraileurs (have Campy's in boxes - need some repair)
Orange Bike: 23" frame, Falcon Ernie Clements - originally yellow/chrome, repainted decades ago. Dura Ace components, Weimann sew up wheels, minty Brooks saddle.
Original Dura Ace boxes with old "take off" components (Campy derailleurs / Tourney crank) - boxes are for the parts on orange frame. NOS Dura Ace hubs.
Also some vintage alloy stems, pump, Weimann & MAFAC centerpull brakes - in Campy Freni Record box - those brakes are on blue frame, vintage toe clip sets.
Magnetic and wind trainers, may have some additional stuff, still checking boxes
$1200 or will entertain cash offer in person.
Sorry, do not want to separate or ship. I have owned all of this since the late '70's when I worked in a bike shop, time to let it go as interests have changed."

Ive been looking for one of these in my size for a long time. John is a long time friend and someone I ride with regularly. Could you provide the link?

Weird! I am unable to see the actual functioning link. What I get is a small rectangle stating "Esta publicación de Facebook ya no está disponible. Es posible que se haya eliminado o que haya cambiado su configuración de privacidad."

Then I will have done my good deed for the week by helping that beautiful bike find a new life! Then you'll need to start a new thread about how to liberate that seatpost stump.

Mini Gitane anyone?

Saw this on Marketplace, priced a bit high (IMHO) but definitely cool of you had a vintage Gitane and young children that liked to ride with you. My first bicycle was a red 20" diamond frame Western Flyer, which was a rebadged Raleigh lightweight so this caught my eye.

City Bikes in Portland OR also has a set in their glass case. I don't recall the price, but owner BOB is pretty damn reasonable.

interesting pile of stuff but I think $1200 is too high for what I see here: the Falcons (with sewups) are okay but not in "minty" shape nor all that highly sought after. Old Trainers like this Minoura and CycleOps are often left out for "free pickup" around my 'hood: even less demand! Could be some "buried treasure" in the odds and sods of used parts, but IMO he won't get anything like his asking price for this.

two pix and a description that smacks of "Composed by ChatGPS"...if it's a legit item it should go for well above $200 but smells a little fishy despite being on eBay.
I'd say Caveat Emptor on this unless you can inspect in person
Plus he's been an eBay member since August 2021 but has a "zero transactions" rating, tread carefully if you pursue either of his dubious 'trauts on the auction block

Appreciate your buyer-beware call out - especially since I'm a sucker for hi-quality, period correct bikes that resemble the "Breaking Away" Masi
