Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No ****. Much archeology being revealed here, including the fact that what I thought was a single addition is in fact two additions of different ages.

We've been planning for this for a while.

It's going to look good when it's done. You'll be happy.

Yes, and anyone who actually knows anything can now be dismissed as "brainwashed" by their training or part of a conspiracy to suppress the Truth.

The rest of the area is prolly not much better. It's been a few decades, but when I was in my 20's I went to visit my grandparents in Hollywood Florida and rode my bike to Miami and back. It was scary and not something I would recommend, and I can only imagine that traffic has gotten worse in the past 30 years.

Never seen that before. Reminds me of Bruce Penhall. Hard to realize that was 41 years ago.

Wife wants to move to Florida. I’m voting for Lake Norman.

Will let you all know in 10 years who wins.

Oh? My grandparents lived in nearby Deerfield Beach. I never rode a bicycle there.

There's an area mileage maniac I follow on Strava who goes down there every now and then. I've not examined the routes he rides.

The seatpost has arrived! And me with several more hours of work to do, including my annual self evaluation. These are difficult for those of us who perpetually suffer from bad self-image.
